Ceret is in the Pyrenees Orientale area in Southern France, near the Spanish border. The closest airport and major railway station is in Perpignan - 30 minutes away. Ryanair flies into Perpignan for most of the year. Girona is 45 minutes away and Barcelona is just under 2 hours away. Car hire and fuel is cheaper in Spain so it is a good place to come into. There is a beautiful mountain drive from Barcelona as an alternative to the motorway. It is also possible to take a train from Barcelona Airport and get to Perpignan with a couple of easy changes. From the railway station there is a bus that takes you to the centre of Ceret.
