How to get there

From Glasgow Airport (25 miles/40km))

Take the M8 towards Greenock, follow signposts for the Erskine bridge. After crossing the bridge take the A82 to Dunbarton & Loch Lomond. Take the sign to Balloch, taking you onto the A811, continue through Balloch heading for Stirling and follow the signs for Drymen.

From Glasgow City Centre (22 miles/35km)

Follow the signs for Aberfoyle A81 along the Great Western road until Anniesland Cross, turning right onto the Switchback. At Canniesburn Toll roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A809 (signposted Bearsden Cross & Drymen). Continue through Bearsden Cross, after 1000m the A809 to Drymen branches to the right, go straight through the next roundabout and follow the signs for Drymen.

From Stirling (21 miles/33km)

Follow the signposts for Loch Lomond and A811 driving through Arnprior and Buchlyvie arriving at Drymen.

From Drymen

take a right turn onto the B837 and drive through Buchannan Smithy, Milton of Buchannan and Balmaha. From Balmaha the road is narrow and winding but the scenery is beautiful. Bypass Cashel camp site, Millarochy Bay and Sallochy Bay and you will see the cabins when you arrive at Rowardennan.
