How to get there

How to get to The Old Farmhouse

From the East (M4, A40 & Haverfordwest)

Find your way along the M4 and the A40 as far as Haverfordwest. At the first roundabout take the first exit and head for the town centre (not the A40). At the second take forth exit signed for St Davids (Tyddewi) A487, at the third (Morrisons) turn left, and at the forth and fifth turn right. You should now be on the A487 St Davids road. Carry on through the villages of Pelcombe Cross, Simpson Cross and Roch. You will then come down the hill to one of Pembrokeshire's best coastal views –over the beach of Newgale and St Brides Bay. A favourite beach for swimmers and surfers alike. Leaving Newgale, go up the hill and follow the road until you come to the signs for Brawdy and a right hand turn signed 14th Signals Regiment. Take this turn. Just past the 30 mile speed sign there is a left hand turn signed for a caravan and camping site – Turn left and carry on for 2.4 miles to the Tee junction – turn left again (signed Solva 3 miles) and the private drive for Llanddinog Old Farmhouse is 500 yds further on (2nd turn on right). The drive is about 150yds long with no passing places – so check it is clear before starting down it…. As you enter through the gates with Llanddinog Old Farmhouse & Cottages on top rail, follow drive round to the Farmhouse and cottages. The cottage name is in the lower panel of the door

From Solva

Set you mileometer to zero as you pass the Cambrian Hotel – it is exactly 3 miles from the Bridge in Lower Solva to Llanddinog…Leave the lower village and head up the hill back towards Haverfordwest on the A487. As you approach the brow of the hill, there is a turning to the left signed Llandeloy 4m. Take this road (more of a lane with passing places). 1m in you have to give way at a Y junction – bear right. Stay on this road and follow signs for Llandeloy. Approx 200m past a crossroads (follow Croes Goch direction) there is a farm (Caerwen Farm) you are now very close. Continue to the right and around the left hand bend. You will see white stones on the right opposite an unmade road. Big sign on left at entrance “Llanddinog Old Farm & Cottages”. Proceed down the track and turn in to the left through the gates with sign along top bar. You are there..

From the North (Fishguard and beyond)

Take the A487 Fishguard – St Davids road and follow it through the town (following signs for St Davids). Pass through the villages of Mathry, Square and Compass and Croes-Goch . A mile beyond Croes-Goch take the first left turn signed for Llanhowel Church. Follow this road (quite/very narrow in places) through Llanhowel (pretty church) and past Cerbid (should be on your left), until you arrive at a junction outside Caerwen Farm :carry straight on by bearing left and the drive for Llanddinog Old Farmhouse & Cottages is 200 yds ahead on the left (opposite the white painted stones on the grassed area). The drive is about 150yds long with no passing places – so check it is clear before starting down it…. As you enter the gates on left (name on top rail) follow drive around to the Farmhouse and cottages. The cottage name is in the lower panel of the door
