How to get there
Several budget airlines fly to Faro airport including Ryanair, Easy jet, Thomas Cook etc. It is also possible to fly to Seville or Lisbon and spend a couple of days on route to the Algarve. Then you can take a leisurely drive to Tavira, there are lots of car hire companies at very reasonable prices, which we are happy to advise you on.Then once you are near your destination you will be provided with detailed directions on how to get to our apartment.

Getting around
The nearby train station Porto Nova is 5 minutes walk away. Travel to Olhea, where you will find one of the best markets in the Algarve, get a ferry across to the island of Armona, and on to the old town of Faro and the amazing Faro beach. You can easily and very cheaply get to the Spanish town of Ayamonte travelling on the opposite direction via charming town Villa Real. If you have a hired car just drive across the bridge where you will find the shopping centre of Mercadona. Many items are very reasonably priced including Spanish Olive oil, detergents, chocolate, saffron etc etc compared to the supermarkets in Portugal. You can get a coach to Seville from Tavira train station and a train to Lisbon so the apartment is well placed.
