At Welcombe Cross on the A39 you take the road signposted Welcombe. Stay on this road and after approx.2.5 miles take the right-hand turn by The Old Smithy Inn, Darracott Farm and the Pottery. Just past Darracott Farm there is a track on your right that takes you into the car park for the bungalows. Alternatively drive through the Old Smithy Car Park, go down the track to the right of the pub and you enter the car park from the other end. The Old Smithy Inn is usually open all day and serves lunches from 12-2.30pm and dinner from 6-9pm. If you want to eat there, especially on a Saturday evening or Sunday lunchtime, I would advise you book in advance. They are closed Sunday evening and Monday lunchtime from Nov – April, apart from during school holidays. Our shop offers a preordering service or you can get online deliveries from Sainsburys, Asda, Waitrose or Tesco. Otherwise it would be advisable to stop off on your journey in Barnstaple or Bideford to get food shopping on the way.
