How to get there
Caen and Le Havre are about 5 hours drive 300 miles. Calais Eurotunnel is approx 6 hours drive 400 miles. Limoges International Airport is 1 hour 30 mins car hire is available from the airport. Car is essential.
You can also fly into Limoges Bellgarde airport which is approximately 90 mins from the gite, there are also flights to Clermont Ferrand, Tours and Poitiers all within 90mins to 2hours travel time.
First set :(613kms)
Take A10 towards Orléans, Nantes, Bordeaux, then follow A71/A20 towards Toulouse, Clermont-Ferrand continue along this road and head towards the A20 Toulouse,Limoges, Chateauroux.Take exit 12 on the A20 towards Chateauroux centre, Deols, La Chatre (D920).
Continue along the D920 towards La Chatre at the 2nd roundabout take the 2nd exit (D67) towards Montluçon, La Chatre.
Continue straight on until you reach & go through La Chatre ( passing Super U on your left), again continue straight on until you see a sign on your right (D917) to St Sévére sur Indre, turn right here. Again continue straight on through St Severe until you reach a village called Marembert, pass through Marembert and turn left (D203) St Priest La Marche,continue on this road until you come to the junction and turn right (D3E) towards Chez Jabier. Keep going straight on , you will see the sign for Chez Jabier on your right hand side, keep going straight on and Gite du Lavande is the last house on your right hand side. It is a white house with blue shutters.

Second Set: (652kms)
From the port turn left onto the E15 towards A26,A16 Paris , Reims. At the roundabout take the 4th exit E15 Rocade. Turn left A26/E15 toward Saint-Omer, Paris, Reims. Close to Arras turn right (A1/E15) Arras-Est, Lille, Paris continue on this road towards Arras -Est, Paris.
Turn right A3/E15 towards Bordeaux, Nantes, Paris, continue on this road until you reach E15 Boulevard Périphérique and turn left.Continue on the E15/E50/ L'Autoroute du Soleil towards A6b Bordeaux, Nantes, continue along this road turning left A6/E15 towards Evry, Lyon. Turn right A77 towards Nevers, Montargis road changes to N7.at the roundabout take the 2nd exit (N7) towards Moulins, Sancoins, take the exit N76 towards Bourges, Sancoins.
Close to Sancoins, turn left onto the D951, continue on this road until you pass Charenton-du-Cher and turn left onto the D1, Stay on the D1 until you pass Fosse-Nouvelle and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit D997, continue along this road until you pass Culan at the traffic lights turn right onto the D943, pass Spar on your right hand side and just slightly after turn left D997. Continue along this road until you pass Villers, then take the D111, continue right.
Close to Saint-Saturnin turn left onto the D3, continue on this road which turns into the D3E, when you come to a crossroads keep going straight on, pass through St Priest La Marche and continue along the D3E, you will see a sign on your right hand side for Chez Jabier continue a bit further and Gite du Lavande is the last house on your right hand side, white house with blue shutters.
This route is a bit longer but you avoid Paris and you will not get stuck in any traffic jams.
