How to get there
You can reach Cortona by car along the A1 motorway, exit Valdichiana, about 10km from the town.
Drive around the ancient walls clockwise and stop at Piazza Mazzini car parking, in front of Colonia door, one of the town's gate.(100 meters from the house)
Coming by train, you will arrive at Camucia train station.
If you will like, I will book a cab for you and you will reach the house just in five minutes. (The cost for the taxi is about 12€)
Otherwise a bus service (one each hour) ensures the connection with Cortona.
The nearest airports are : Perugia ( 60km), Firenze ( 130km), Pisa (200km), Roma Fiumicino ( 230km).
Getting around
Cortona is a little town to visit walking. If you don't like to rent a car, you could take the train at Camucia train station, the small village down Cortona's hill. Camucia can be reached taking the bus departing every hour from the center.
