Newbiggin is close to the start of the Coast and Castle route Go North into Northumberland and visit Alnwick castle and world famous gardens, Harry Potter was filmed at the castle as it doubled up to become Hogwarts.Take a drive, by car or local bus, along the coastal route which takes in many of Northumberlands Castles including the awe inspiring Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne (Holy) Island Or follow the route of the Emperor Hadrian's Wall from its beginning in Wallsend to its end in Carlisle some 80 miles away.
