Getting around
Being the site for the previous British Olympics Sailing, it has great watersport facilities - sailing, Kite surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, (safe areas for beginners) and swimming, of course! Its also lovely to sit at Billy Winters or the Taste Café and watch so many people out enjoying themselves on the water. The marina, likewise, is a good place to chill at The Boat That Rocks. I can also recommend the nearby Frontline Café, started by, and donating a percentage to, front line workers. Walking is best (flat and steep areas for all) or jumping on the no 1 bus is recommended for venturing to Weymouth harbour and town. There are wonderful walks on Portland and also a lovely walk along the coast to Weymouth.
