How to get there

Important if you are using a GPS please look for the white sign at the end of the road saying Family Holiday Cottages as it can take you to the farm next door. From NewtownIf you are coming from West on the A470 from Newtown, at Cemmaes Road round-a-bout, take the A470 to Dolgellau. You come to Cemmaes Village. Go through the village and half a mile past the village, you will cross a bridge. Past the bridge by 100 yards you will see an opening before a large Wellingtonia tree on the right hand side. There will be a silver farm gate set back. Take the road up the lane for six hundred yards, passing an old cottage on your left, coming to a sharp bend to the left. Take the bend to the left and you will see the cottages is in front of you as you come up the hill. Follow the sign posts for your cottage.If you are coming west on the A458 from Welshpool at the round-a-bout at Mallwyd (big black and white hotel called the Brigands Inn on the corner, take the A470 to Machynlleth. Go about 4 miles, pass througha village called Cwmllinau. Pass through the village and 200 yards along the first straight bit a road you will see a tall Wellingtonia tree on the left hand side and an opening just past the tree. You will see a silver gate set back, take the road for 600 yards past an old cottage on the left and come to a sharp bend to the left, take the bend to the left and you will see the cottages in front as you drive up. From WelshpoolIf you are coming from Welshpool, take the A458 to Mallwyd, on the A470 take the first exit of the mini-round-about to Cwmllinau. Go through the village and you come to a straight piece of road. We are the second turning on the left after the village. Landmarks, A tall pine tree and a letter box on the fat side of the entrance. Go slowly as the entrance is hidden with a silver farm gate set back from the road. Carry on through the gate and you will pass an old cottage on the left, carry past and you will come to a sharp bend to the left, take the bend to the left and you will see directions to the cottages in frnt of you From BalaFrom Bala take the A494 south west to Dolgellau. Then take the A470 and through Mallwyd mini-round-about following signs to Machynlleth.Continue to Cwmllinau, go through the village and you come to a straight piece of road. Europcar and Hurtz both have rental and drop off locations in Aberystwyth, so if you are flying into London Heathrow Gatwick or Manchester Airport, cars can be drop off at Aberystwyth if you want to take the train back.
