How to get there

Be careful if you use satnav because this leads you into the valley below the cliff with the chateau/manoir at the top. The access to the Chateau/Manoir is from the road on the plateau that leads down towards Dausse (D246). A better possibility to get you onto the lane leading to La Rouquette is to go for Pouget. The access coming off the main road goes a short distance and splits, to the right to Pouget and to the left towards La Rouquette and the dead end. From Dausse along the D246 the turn is a sharp right hand hairpin turn at just about 4kms from the turn off from the D661 in the village.

An alternative is to start from the church in Massoules. With the church on your right, drive out of the village to the first crossroads.

Turn left onto the D229 to the next crossroads and turn right onto the D246. At the next crossroads go straight over. Go past a small turning on the left, and slow down on a tight bend with a magnificent view to the right. Immediately after the house built right next to the road on your left you will find the lane leading to La Rouquette and Pouget. (900 metres from the crossroads). The turn for Pouget is almost immediately off to the right, and from here the road is private all the way to La Rouquette. (about 1.2kms)
