Public transport provides an excellent service to mijas pueblo from the airport. Take a train to fuengirola, then walk down one street to the bus station in fuengirola and take the bus to Mijas (mijas pueblo) which is usually parked opposite the lovely cafe next to the ticket office. the bus is every 20 to 30 mins up until 9pm to 10pm but this can change slightly so its best to check online, get off the bus at the bp garage in mijas pueblo and walk towards restaurant fiesta to urbanisation nuevo pueblo mijas which is where the house is located, the first urbanisation as you come around the roundabout your right. Very easy to find. The host Suzie can also arrange airport transfers right to the door if needed.
