How to get there
Easily accessible by car, the cottage is a just a couple of miles from the A1 motorway junction with the A59 east to west road. Please ask for directions, we will gladly help you to find our way.
Cattal has a train station a little over a mile from the cottage, so good walkers may arrive by train from the main stations of Leeds or York.

Getting around
20 minutes drive to the east is the fabulous city of York, where you can explore the famous Minster, National Railway Museum, Shambles shopping area, and the medieval walls and forts. Driving north or south will take you through stunning Yorkshire countryside, and quiet villages, lots of options to stop for a country pub meal and unwind. Drive east (or take the train from Cattal) and you will come first to the historic riverside town of Knaresborough, home of the prophetess Mother Shipton, and then to the spa town of Harrogate, famous for its 200 acres of Stray parkland, Betty's Tearooms
