Getting to the Cottage

Badger Cottage at 85 Ravensdale Cottages, is situated on the middle of the Peak District National Park, just outside the village of Cressbrook. Cressbrook is easily accessible from every direction as you can see from the directions below.

The easiest way to find the cottage is either to put the post code (SK17 8SX) into your sat nav, this will take you to Cressbrook Village and then follow directions below or alternatively, go onto Google Maps (follow link below) and get your own individual driving directions.

Directions from Cressbrook Village

If you are approaching from the West, once you get to Cressbrook village (with the Cressbrook Club and post box on your right hand side), follow the road down to your left (signposted to Monsal Dale), around a hairpin bend and then 100M past this, take the lane on your left to Ravensdale Cottages . There is an old fashioned light and a Ravensdale signpost (as photo below) at this lane junction. (You may have to do a 3 point turn access lane).

Drive down the lane to Ravensdale Cottages and after 200M you will reach a car park, the furthest part of which is for residents only, you can park here. Please do not park in front of the cottages except for loading and unloading.

Directions from Cressbrook Mill

If you are approaching from the other direction (South) Once you get to the Monsal Head Hotel & Pub, turn left and go past the Monsal Head Pub and Hobbs Café and go road down for 2 miles, you will be passing the River Wye and Monsal Trail on your left) go past Cressbrook Mill (now converted into apartments) on your left, follow the road bearing right and after half a mile you will see the lane down to your right at the street light and Ravensdale sign.

Drive down the lane to Ravensdale Cottages and after 200M you will reach a car park, the furthest part of which is for residents only, you can park here. Please do not park in front of the cottages except for loading and unloading.
