Sofia is the main Bulgarian airport with Plovdiv also available during the ski season.

The best method of transport from Sofia is car-hire or taxi for a drive that will take a little over three hours.

However, local buses run regularly between Plovdiv and the resort and there is also a good taxi service for a journey that will take approximately two hours to Pamporovo.

Car-hire is very convenient and reasonably priced, but would recommend a sat nav, as all signs are in Bulgarian with only occasionally English used.
