How to get there
Porlock Weir is just over 3 hours from London and 100 minutes from Bristol. As you drive through Porlock on the A39 you will see a sign to Porlock Weir & Harbour (B3225) - take this road. After approx. 1 mile you will see a sign for Porlock Weir and a left turn directing you to Worthy and Ashley Combe - take this road. After a further 0.25 mile the road forks. Take the left fork sign posted Ashley and Worthy Combe. After a further 0.25 mile you will come to the first house on the right which is Owlscombe. There is a private, gated parking area for approx. 5 vehicles.

Getting around
Exmoor really is a great place to explore on foot, by bike or even on horseback . Another excellent way of seeing the local sights is to go on a discovery tour with one of the local safari companies. They will take you across the moor in a 4wd, show you the local wildlife such as the Red Deer and Ponies and help you learn about the local history, geology and archeology of the area.
