About the home

The Villa has a rural feel, looking over open fields to the sea and is only 5 mins from the stunning Praia Verde Beach, which has a beautiful restaurant located right on the sand.

There are numerous other beaches and restaurants situated along the A125 which leads you to the historic Roman town of Tavira (15-20 mins) with its cobbled streets and countless bars and restaurants.

The Villa is beautifully furnished and has 4 large bedrooms, fully equipped top of the range kitchen, 3 fully marbled bathrooms and a stunning lounge which looks directly over the pool. State of the art air-conditioning and heating.

The villa is luxuriously furnished and is the perfect haven for a sunny getaway...whether you're a golfer, a beach lover or culture lover.

The property has stairs to the upper floor leading to 3 bedrooms and large roof terrace. One bedroom and one bathroom are on the ground floor, (ideal for persons with limited mobility). There are no steps between the lounge, pool or downstairs bedroom making it wheelchair friendly.

Kitchen: This brand new kitchen is fitted to a high standard with a large fridge/freezer, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Extensive food preparation areas and a very sociable layout with large table and chairs.

Living Rooms: Large and cool overlooking the pool and terrace. With sliding doors to the outside areas. Beautifully furnished with 42" plasma TV and Satellite.

There is a large roof garden with panoramic views over the open countryside and sea. This is a very private area and remains a real sun trap during the evening and on rare inclement days. The private pool is cleaned twice per week.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: The villa comes with all linen which is changed weekly including towels. Maid service can be arranged at a supplement.

Further details outdoors:
There is always a sunny spot where you can catch the rays or an alternative shady spot if required. The pool surrounds have been fitted with special non slip surfaces which is typical of the attention to detail that went into the design and build of the lovely villa. There are ample lounging and patio furniture to both the pool and terrace.

The Algarve / East Algarve region

The Algarve is the most popular destination for holidays in Portugal and while most people visit the West, the Eastern Algarve is less well known. The peaceful sandy beaches are spectacular and the coastline will delight any nature lover.

The weather is hot in the summer and with an incredible amount of sunshine, it is the best destination for a sunny holiday!

There is a nearby bridge to Spain and a visit across the invisible border is recommended.

When we were looking to buy our villa we looked at all areas of Portugal before choosing the locatino for our villa. The Eastern Algarve is a protected coast and has the feel of the old Portugal. You do not have the high rise hotel and apartment blocks, common on the Western Algarve and the Spanish Costas, but, instead many small Portuguese villages with beautiful local restaurants. The Harbour town of Tavira which is an old Historic Port, has a Venetian feel teamed with restaurants and beautiful indoor and outdoor markets.

The Manta Rota area

Praia Verde beach is considered to be one of the best beaches in the Algarve because of its extensive sands. Even on a Sunday in mid August you don't feel overcrowded.

There are 10 golf courses within an hours drive of the villa and other attractions include Zoo Marine (sealife centre), Tavira, Vilamoura and an abundance of golden sandy beaches.

Watersports are extremely popular in this area as well as kiteboarding, walking, cycling etc.

In Summer the beautiful Tavira Square holds nightly free entertainment with music and dancing in the cobble amphitheatre surrounded by local bars and restaurants.

Whether you are visiting the Algarve for the first time or are a frequent visitor you could not find a more convenient location for your stay,beautioful views over open fields to the sea.

Being 1 min from the A125 (main coast road) and 3 mins from the A22 (motorway which runs from Lisbon to Seville).supermarket and restaurants within walking distance,15 minutes drive from beatiful Tavira and only 10 minutes drive to Spain.The villa is situated in a private location, a few other villas and bungalows are nearby. there are several beautiful beaches within 10 minutes drive ie manta rota,monte gordo,Altura and only 5 minutes from Praia Verde beach.

Have been to Algarve many times,but villa and location were outstanding, will be back next year without doubt, David Beard and family, North Devon.

Dont normally take time to write reviews but we had such a great time,the villa was so much more than we expected,the people were so welcoming and weather and beaches fantastic,thoroughly recomended !!!
