About the home

An extremely private, spacious, well presented and fully furnished, 4 king size bedroom modern Villa, situated in its own large grounds. All rooms benefit from air conditioning which can provide cold and hot air.

Downstairs presents a large entrance hall and gallery staircase which provides access to the lounge, dining kitchen, downstairs king size bedroom and bathroom. The substantial lounge offers a 50 inch plasma TV with full Sky package including all sports and movies and allows access to the front garden, extra large heated pool and patio/BBQ area to the rear. The large fully equipped dining kitchen also gives access to the patio/BBQ area and leads to a utility room.

The impressive semi-circular gallery staircase leads to a king size master bedroom complete with en-suite and balcony with sea view overlooking the front garden and pool. Upstairs also presents 2 further large bedrooms, one with twin three quarter beds and the other with a king size bed and large family bathroom.

Futher beds may be added if required, the bedrooms are large, three have kingsize beds the other has two three quater beds. The propery is in brand new condition only recently being offered for rental.

Huge very private lawned garden including outside dining area with BBQ and 12m x 6m heated pool usually 29 to 30C which can be turned down if too warm. Shower area by pool.

The Algarve / East Algarve region

Eastern Algarve with its excellent golf courses, amazing coastline and green hills is still populated by Portuguese people who are very helpful, friendly and pleasant. There are magnificent Blue Flag beaches stretching for over 20 miles, that fall within the Parque natural da Ria Formosa,the warmest seas in the Algarve region, rustic villages, roman history and first-class restaurants that are still reasonably priced for food and drinks. There are lots of markets to visit, boat trips, watersports, safaris and a large nature reserve ten minutes from the Villa and only 1.5 hours from Seville. The Villa is situated in the small town of Altura and is very close to the border with Spain. To the west of the villa is the town of Manta Rota which takes approx 5 mins by car, continuing west brings you to the charming village of Cacela Vehla offering magnificent views from the hill top. The next town is Cabanas which is a quaint fishing village with lots of boat trips, seafood restaurants and bars. The historic town of Tavira is next along the coastal route, offering places of interest, river trips many restaurants and a shopping complex. Tavira island is also worth a visit and offers beautiful unspoilt beaches and restaurants.Travelling from the Villa to Tavira takes approx 20 mins. Travelling along the cost to the East, 5 mins from the Villa is Prai Verde again with lovely beaches, travelling further East is the large town of Monte Gordo, next we arrive in Villa Real, San Antio on the rive Guardiana which is the border for Spain and takes only 10-15 mins by car. The Villa takes only 45 mins to reach from Faro Airport. The Spanish border can be crossed by car ferry over the river from Villa Real or by car via a bridge offering wonderful views of the river and delta. No passports are required.

The Manta Rota area

The Villa itself is only 3 mins from the beach by car, the small town of Altura is the same distance and actually fronts onto the beach. Altura has a number of excellent restaurants, bars and cafes, watersports, open farmers' market three times per week and a supermarket and other shops. The beaches are absolutely spectacular and you always have space, unlike the overcrowding that can be experienced on the West of the Algarve, the water is reported to be the warmest in the Algarve. One of our favourites is the beach restaurant at Prai Verde which is probably one of the best on the Algarve. Manta Rota provides similarly wonderful beaches, watersports and restaurants . The historical village of Cacela Vehla is worth a visit for the views and cosy restaurants. Monte Gordo and Villa Real both offer live outdoor music as well as lots of singers and musicians in the pubs and restuaurnts. Castro Marim is five minutes away and has a medieval castle which is well worth a visit. Many festivals take place throughout the year in the area, the Snail Festival being one of the most popular and takes place in September at Castro Marim. Villa Real, San Antonio has a delightful square where the live music is performed, many restaurants to choose from, and of course, lots of golf courses. From Villa Real, San Antonio it is possible to take the ferry over the river to Spain which takes approximately 15 mins. The ferry lands at Aya Monte which has lots of tapas restaurants, a zoo and lots of shops.
