Le Mas des Chênes is a large, renovated stone property on the edge of the Lubéron, near the village of Ginnasservis and 15 minutes' drive from Manosque. The property is set in 24 acres, and has a large private pool (11x6m) which commands views across to the Lubéron mountains and Mont Ventoux. The rental accommodation is in an entirely independent wing of the house, with its own entrance and private garden.
Outside is a shady terrace with dining furniture and a barbecue. Guests are encouraged to make free use of the extensive grounds and have exclusive use of the pool. The area is ideal for children to play safely and offers scope for a variety of outdoor activities such as walking, pony-riding and canoeing. The coast is less than one hour's drive away.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region
Situated in the centre of the Var region, this property is an ideal base for discovering the local villages and markets or driving down to the Côte d'Azur, visiting Aix en Provence or Avignon, Forqualquier or Digne. The list is endless in this area of France where the climate is good and you have French culture at your finger tips.
Manosque / Ginasservis area
The local village, Ginasservis, has all the necessary shops and services, including baker, butcher etc. and of course a doctor; Manosque, a short ride away, has several large supermarkets and plenty of other shops, restaurants and cafés. There are numerous excellent restaurants in the region.
The picturesque Gorges de Verdon are a short drive way and offer possibilities for canoeing and other water activities. The famous Côte d'Azur, with its resorts and beaches, is less than an hour's drive, and in the immediate area there is plenty to do. Aix en Provence and the ancient city of Avignon are close at hand, not to mention the lavender fields, many historical sights and a wealth of Provençal markets to visit. Alternatively, just basking by the pool with a glass of wine and a good book is highly recommended.
