Beachside Apartment in Sabinillas, Costa Del Sol
Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 6
La Noria III apartment is front line on the beach, the apartment sleeps 4 - 6 people and has a small enclosed north west facing terrace area, two bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen and utility area with washing machine and clothes line. Very safe for families with children. Golf courses abound in the area around La Duquesa and Estepona. Valderama, Finca Cortesin and Don Julia and many more all within a 20 minute drive. The property is situated midway between Marbella and Gibraltar and can provide an ideal place for visiting all the many attractions of Andalucia or can provide a totally relaxing chilled out experience where you dont need a car all week. Sabinillas is very laid back, very Spanish and very friendly with many local fiesta's throughout the year. Walk up the beach to Duquesa Port - beautiful with Sangria. As yet there are no package holiday hotels in the village so it remains quite peaceful.
This is a gated community with fenced swimming pools area, children's play area, seating and water feature in the grounds. There is a shower and toilet block for your use in the gardens and shower by the gate for when you return from the beach. Swimming pool open from June half term to mid September. There are two bookable paddle tennis courts, 2 rackets provided, so bring soft shoes! Direct access on to beach and promenade. There are some beach chairs and umbrellas for your use on the beach in the back utility area.
All the areas of the complex are accessed by one key and fob.

The Andalucia region
San Luis de Sabinillas is a seaside resort in the area between Marbella and Sotogrande just south of Estapona, original a fishing village it still retains a quaint charm with chirungittas (beach bars) on the beach and many restaurants along the Passeo Maratimo which stretches from Casares Costa to Puerto Duquesa. It is quite laid back with no significant night life, but as evening meals can be taken any time up to midnight in the summer months it its magical just to sit and soak up the atmosphere. As all the shops and bars are within walking distance it is not necessary to drive much, but out of the summer season this area is central for many wonderful excursions. The summer evenings find all the local families and children out on the seafront in the parks and play areas that abound till well in to the night.
The out of season also brings out the golfers and there are many good golf courses within a short drive, some very expensive and special and some more down to earth and welcoming to visitors, Don Julia is only five minutes from us and we have friends who have played their and say it is good.
Look on the Visit Manilva website for more information on fiestas and events, there is always something to celebrate in Spain, the annual fair, feria, in august, blessing of the seas in July, the bonfire on the beach on June 23rd and of course Easter is very important.
We have been fortunate to have our second home in Sabinillas and spend some time there during the winter months and have had time to explore the area. a couple of hours by car and you can be visiting the Alhambra at Granada or the beautiful city of Saville or historical Cadiz. We have taken the catamaran from Tarifa to Tangier in North Africa and explored the exotic souks and narrow streets and the quaint old city and the more modern city.
Closer to home are Marbella and the glitz of Puerto Banus and the must do visit to Gibraltar to see the Barbary apes who really are cheeky and visit St Peters Cave and The Tunnels.
A very good morning drive can take you to the white hill villages for coffee of lunch to see the eagles soar in the high hills and mountains just a short drive away. We leave a good guide and maps in the apartment for you.
In the summer months there are water parks at Algeciras and Fuengirola, we recommend Bahia Park at Algiciras
From the village there are good walks into the hills to visit the roman baths and walks along the beach in both directios
