Chalet La Luna is a very pretty alpine chalet situated at the end of a quiet lane and offers peace and tranquility matched by breathtaking views and seclusion, yet only minutes away from great mountain towns and lakes, such as Manigod, Thones, La Clusaz, Grand Bornand and the Lake of Annecy.

This idyllic location offers a wealth of winter and summer pursuits including:

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

The Haute Savoie region is mainly rural and unspoilt. The mountain air is wonderful and the water from the Lake of Annecy is said to be one of the purest in Europe. So, you have the best of both worlds, mountains for walking or skiing, the Lake of Annecy for taking a trip on a boat, sitting by the water's edge, or swimming in the beautifully clean water. The town of Annecy is a must with the waterways winding through the old town and many places of interest to visit. There are many nearby mountain towns and villages to visit, such as La Clusaz, Grand Bornand, Megeve, to name but a few.


Manigod / Les Murailles area

Locally the little town of Manigod has a boulangerie with excellent freshly made bread and pastries, supermarket with your every-day needs and local produce. Further down the mountain is the town of Thones which has a weekly market on Saturday mornings and many shops and cafes, banks, chemist, larger supermarkets etc.
Up the mountain is the local area called La Croix Fry where skiing, walking, ski lifts, restaurants can be found. Further on is La Clusaz which is a bustling town with many shops and good restaurants. There is a swimming pool, ice skating rink, cable cars etc.


How to get there

Nearest airport is Geneva - approximately 56km/1 hours drive to Chalet. Other airports are Chambery or Lyon.

It is approximately 8 hours by car from the French ferry ports or EuroTunnel, via Reims, Troyes, Dijon.

There are many good hire car companies such as Holiday Autos, Hertz, Carhire3000.

Chalet La Luna is on 3 floors.
The first floor accessed via the large balcony is the open-plan living, dining, kitchen and 1 bathroom.
Stairs to the upper floor where there is a large double bedroom with balcony and two children's' rooms with single beds under the eaves.
Down to the lower ground floor accessed via the living area are located a hallway with second fridge and washing machine. Two double bedrooms one with door to the outside and bathroom.

The Chalet is furnished very comfortably and all bedding, towels and a starter pack of condiments is included.

Further details outdoors:
Chalet La Luna is completely secluded and very safe for children. There is a garden area surrounding the property and parking. There is a fully retractable sun shade covering almost the whole balcony and table, chairs and sun loungers.

We have an local English lady & her French partner who will see you in and out of the Chalet and may be contacted during your stay should you have any questions or queries.


Conditions

* A refundable deposit of £200 will be held against breakages, etc. and we would ask that the Chalet be left in a clean and tidy condition upon vacation.
