About the home

Garden Tourist apartments are situated in a quiet small campsite, only 50 mt. from the beach.  We offer to our guest pace and relax in a familiar atmosphere.  The apartments with 1 or 2 bedrooms are spacious and well-lighted, they have modern furniture, cooking  facilities, heating and terrace with table and chairs.Touristic and historical sites, such as Salò, Desenzano, Verona, Milan and Venice are easily reached, and so are the beautiful Valtenesi valley unique for bike-rides and walks in the nature.  There is a swimming pool and close to the apartments you will find: restaurants, pizzerias and supermarket. Garden Tourist offers its guests fast and easy access with wireless to the internet with personal computer. Internet access is free for guests. Login data is available at the reception.We have 1 and 2 bedroom apartments also avaible.

The beach 50 mt. from  the apartment  is in Romantica gulf  and in high season there are lots of boats,  sailing boats and swimmers.

The Lombardy / Lake Garda Area region

Lake Garda is a beautiful part of Italy, with its own microclimate and a stunning scenery with olive groves, vineyards, breathtaking mountain backdrops and access to everything Italy has to offer: Venice, Milan, sun in summer, culture, designer sophistication. Lake Garda has a unique micro-climate, mild in the winter and hot and sunny in the summer, yet with a cool breeze coming off the lake. Lake Garda is also Italy's largest lake, and the undoubted star of the Italian Lake district.

Lake Garda really has something for everyone. From sun to shopping, beautiful mountain scenery to the sun glittering off the clear, warm water, windsurfing and rock-climbing in summer; from opera and theatre to children's adventure parks Gardaland and Canevaworld... when you come to Lake Garda you can be sure of a holiday you will never forget.

If you feel like sticking closer to the home base, why not hop on a ferry and explore the lakeside towns of Lake Garda? In Garda lake you can hiking, mountain-biking, horse-riding and rock climbing is popular. There are dozens of walking trails in the mountains around the lake, mountain bikes can be hired and there are countless riding centres, tennis or golf clubs.

The designer shops and boutiques, street cafes and bars, restaurants and trattorias offering home-cooked Italian dishes and the finest local wines at incredibly good value will appeal to everyone, especially in sophisticated towns such as Manerba, Desenzano del Garda, Gardone Riviera and Salo'.

If the kids get bored playing in the swimming pool, why not spend a few days exploring the theme parks at the southern end of Lake Garda? There are many huge them parks, including Gardaland, Caneva World, Aqua Parks and Safari Parks - you'd need a couple of weeks to get through them all!

Don't forget to relax, though, and drink in the unbelievable lake views with a glass of wine.

The Manerba del Garda area

Manerba: one of the pearls of Garda Lake. Lovable for it mildness climate and the beauties of its landscape, Manerba is the ideal place for a tonic and peaceful holiday. It offer besides its enchanting landscapes, also evocative itineraries, among them famous “Rocca” to wich the history of Manerba is connected.

The surronding area also offers the possibility of gastronomical itinerary, with typical food products from around lake Garda, any many occasions to visit and taste these delights. Manerba is an ideal base for those of you want to travel; why not take a day trip to see cities like: Verona ( km. 45), Milan ( km. 130 ) or Venice (km. 140)?

Airports:Only 40 minutes away is Verona airport which is served by many major European airlines, including BA from Gatwick.

About one hour away is Milano-Bergamo airport which receives mostly low-cost and charter airlines. Ryanair flies to Bergamo from Stansted and Luton, and so do other low-cost airlines from various UK airports.

Milano-Malpensa is a discouraging four hours away while Milano-Linate is about 2 hours’ drive (Linate is also accessible by short bus ride to Milano Centrale and then train to Desenzano) and receives the major European carriers from Heathrow, including BMI, BA and Alitalia.

While the Venice airports are also about 2 hours away, the traffic on surrounding roads can make them a prohibitive choice for drivers. However, you can reach Desenzano station by train via Venezia

“Great location” This apartment has a great location approx 150 m from the lakeside it is situated in a small caravan site in a block of 8 which either have a balcony with tables and chairs or a patio area with tables and chairs. Apartment is very spacious and comfortable only lacking in an electric kettle to make cup of tea in the morning , no oven but has a hob and micro wave. Lovely pool on site , no shop for provisions but a small supermarket at the top of the road. Could hear noise from neighbouring apartments but didnt spoil the holiday. Would recommend due to location.
