Balcony/Terrace is a large 280 sq foot and accessible from both bedrooms and living area.
View overlooks both pools and the ocean. There is a table with chairs & BBQ.
Linen/maid service: All linen and towels provided including beach towels and there is a full clean provided after each change over. An in between clean can be arranged for a extra fee.
WiFi Internet access available using the tokens available from the office or spa.

The Paphos region


Paphos town is strongly connected to Greek mythology and its history. Paphos was the capital of Cyprus under the Ptolemy’s, successors of Alexander the Great, when its harbour was a thriving port, and remained Cyprus’s first city for more than seven centuries under Roman rule. It’s said that Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love and beauty, rose from the waves and crashed on its shores.
But returning to the modern day, enjoy a cool refreshing drink, a steaming Cypriot coffee or a mouth-watering meal in one of the taverns, restaurants or bars that dot the scenic harbour side and the luxury hotels along the coastline suit every taste and budget. Cyprus enjoys over 320 days sunshine per year on average.
The Mandria / Aphrodite Sands area
This apartment at the Aphrodite Sands resort is about 10 minute drive from the airport based in the coastal village of Mandria and is a 15 minute drive to Paphos town. The traditional Cypriot tavernas, local supermarkets and unspoilt villages are a gentle 5 minute stroll away by foot. Its ideal location is 6km from the acclaimed Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills championship golf courses; And a short walk from secluded sandy beaches.
Activities in and around Paphos include: Golf, Tennis, Cycling, Horse Riding, Watersports, Waterparks, Karting, Fishing, Great Beaches.
Less than 10km east of Paphos town centre, the Aphrodite Sands resort is located in the delightful rural village of Mandria, where as one would expect, the charm of the traditional Cypriot culture thrives among the locals and their rustic way of life. Surrounded by lush green fields and agricultural plains, the site offers residents the perfect environment for peaceful relaxation, whilst being easily accessible to Paphos and all the amenities and resources offered by the town.
Access to the resort could not be easier with Paphos International Airport less than 10 mins away.
The location is perfect for golfers, with the exclusive Aphrodite Hills Championship Golf course resort 6 mins drive from Aphrodite Sands, Secret Valley Golf course 5 mins drive from Aphrodite Sands, Minthis Hills Golf course is around 20 min drive from Aphrodite Sands. World famous championship golfer Nick Faldo has just designed a new course openedin 2010, Elea Championship Course is less than 5 mins drive from Aphrodite Sands.
One of the best ways to take in the views and see the real cyprus is to hire a mountain bike. I have personally done this with the family and can highly recommend a local company who deliver and collect the bikes. Their website is www.mountainbikecyprus.com. However, for those visitors who prefer less strenuous means of relaxation, a short walk of 800m will enable you to enjoy the golden shingle sands and warm turquoise waters of the Aphrodite Sands local beach. Mandria being a village doesn't suffer from hordes of tourists. Consequently the secluded beach coves at Mandria are often empty or very quiet.
Within the village there is a bank, small supermarket, a gift shop, coffee shop, bakery, home made ice-cream shop.
Within the village square there are three tavernas , Fish & Chip restaurant which is excellent.
Yiannis Taverna is a traditional taverna where you can sit outside under a vine with grapes hanging. George's Taverna on the other side of the square is slightly better equipped for eating inside. On a Friday night during summer months there is Cypriot entertainment at George's. Both Tavernas are exceptional value.
A 10 minute drive from Mandria is Petra Tou Romiou (Aphrodite's Rock), the birthplace of Aphrodite.

Believe the descriptions of apartment D103 and the Aphrodite Sands resort - they really are true!! The apartment was ideally located on the 1st floor and had the Sun pretty much all day long. Inside it felt spacious - plenty big enough for us (2 adults, 2 kids aged 9 and 7). It was also spotlessly clean. Outside, the surroundings are beautiful. 2 lovely pools with amble space to relax - sunbeds provided! In Oct, there was a good balance of people - not too many, not too few. There's also a little playpark (swings and a see-saw). Underneath the pools there is a full luxury SPA offering all the sorts of treatments one might expect (obviously at extra cost). Those staying in the apartment can use the Jacuzzi (we were in it every night!), the steam/sauna rooms, and the Gym (we left that to itself :) ) The apartment is near Mandria village. Mandria is about 5-10 mins drive from Paphos Airport in the opposite direction to Paphos, which is 20-25 mins away by motorway. Compared to the Aphrodite Sands Resort complex, Mandria's not much to write home about, but give it a couple of years and that will change - it's definitely an up and coming area! The Fish and Chip restaurant (sorry don't remember the name) is fantastic -well worth a visit - portions are huge! The weather! We went for the Scottish half-term in Oct. We had one cloudyish day (more like a typical Scottish Summers day!). Every other day, it was cloudless skies (24-27 degrees day, 17-19 degrees at night). Glorious! Some negatives (for the benefit of others): 1) Apartment D103 and the SPA are not suitable for those with mobility issues - stairs are the only way to access them both (apologies if I've got that wrong). 2) If the people in the adjacent apartments are smokers and doing so on their balcony, you may not be able to escape the cigarette smoke without going inside. 3) The extractor in the ensuite is a bit noisy and could maybe do with being repaired/replaced. Summary: Our family would definitely recommend apartment D103 in Aphrodite Sands Resort, and we'd definitely go back. |

Our stay was exactly what we'd hoped for it to be - idyllic, peaceful, relaxing, and luxurious with a host of friendly faces to add to the beautiful scenery. The spa was absolutely first class, the apartment was clean, spacious and catered for all our needs, and the location was right in the middle with easy access to Paphos and Limassol either side and only 10 minutes away from Paphos airport. Would recommend getting a car, the village a short walk away in Mandria is basic with a small shop for necessitates but no fresh food, however the taverns and fish and chip restaurant were great for an evening enjoyed locally. We cannot wait to come again and enjoy this small but perfect haven hidden away in Cyprus. 5*
