The Greater Manchester region

Famous for Old Trafford and Manchester United tours, we have much more to offer in Manchester than our fantastic football teams.

We are the host to some big concerts at the Etihad Stadium and have wonderful museums, art galleries, parks and festivals.

Tatton park and Heaton Park is great for concerts and family entertainment and just a good day out.

Wonderful markets in local areas give a feel of the local people and the industrial past of the area.

30 minutes away from the country side of Saddleworth villages, its really worth jumping on a train to explore. From May onwards there are often local traditional festivals worth a visit.

There is tram network which will take you down to the Ice Rink in Altrincham, if you fancy doing something different.

Further a field there are is the pleasure beach of Blackpool or the quieter beach of Southport.

A 2 hour drive takes you into the Lake District or for closer country side there is the Peak District.

This is a quiet residential area, within a business district of Manchester. Much of what you will need is within walking distance, including Albert Square and St Anne's Square which are the home for Christmas markets and food festivals.

The wonderful Opera House, Palace Theatre, Central Library, St Peters Square are a short walk away.

Media City with the Lowry Theatre, Lowry Outlet and relocated BBC are all places worth going to visit.

The universities are a short bus ride away, as is Central Manchester Hospital or the Apollo Theatre which is good if you really like to get close to your music rather than the larger stadiums.

Visit the Curry Mile in Rusholme, catching a bus along Oxford Road with the busiest bus route in Europe due to its student population.

China Town is within the city centre and around 10 - 15 minutes walk from the accommodation

"5* apartment"

Stayed here for 2 nights. Went out on the first night but the apartment was so nice we decided to stay in on Saturday night. It rained all weekend but the location was so central it didn't matter as everything we needed was so close.

The apartment itself was spotless and not a single thing was out of place on top of which the décor was modern and tasteful.

Jacqueline was lovely to have correspondence with, she was brisk in replying, professional and very helpful with her responses.

In summary I was really impressed with everything and there is not a single negative comment I can say about the apartment or Jacqueline. The whole thing was nothing but a pleasure. Forget about the Lowry hotel next door, this is the place you want to be. I highly recommend this apartment.

Excellent apartment. Apartment was clean, modern, comfortable and spacious. Service from Jacqueline both before and during arrival was everything that could have been asked for and the small touches that she added such as fresh milk, tea, coffee etc and even fresh flowers made all the difference. Location was ideal for central Manchester. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

We stayed in the apartment on the 24-26 Jan, It is a lovely clean spacious apartment which had everything we needed plus more. (homely things like blankets, candles and monopoly) We were even left with a cake and some wine!!! Jacqueline was so helpful with everything from showing us where to park (and helping us in the car lift haha) also recommending where to go of a night time. I had an amazing stay and I would definitely come again. Thanks Jacqueline x

"A hidden gem"

Fantastic apartment which is in a great location. We couldn't believe how close it was to all the cool bars, restaurants and shopping. The owner maintained good lines of communication and made the apartment warm and welcoming with some thoughtful little touches. The place was spotlessly clean which is something i can be very picky about. We will most definitely stay here again

"Fantastic! Wonderful location. Felt like 'home away from home'..."

We currently live in Perth, Western Australia and this was our first trip home to Manchester, after 18 months.

Last year we sold our home in the UK so wanted somewhere that would feel welcoming and provide us with more than just a 'base'. It was a special visit home, Christmas and New Year and we have lots of family and friends that we were eager to share time with.

Jacqueline, the owner, was not just a point of contact. She was welcoming, from the outset, and didn't overlook the fact that we had travelled a long way. She was there to meet us and to explain everything we needed to know about the apartment and the amenities.

Jacqueline had not only left necessities to help us settle in but she added special touches such as a bottle of sparkly to celebrate my husband, Peter's 50th birthday and a large, beautifully wrapped Christmas cake in the lead up to the big day.

In regard to the apartment itself, it was exceptionally spacious, modern and clean. We wanted for nothing, throughout our three week stay and had access to washer/dryer which enabled us to return to Australia, with suitcases full of clean laundry which was wonderful, after a long haul flight.

Fully equipped kitchen and personal touches, such as 'tree' lighting, candle holders and fairy lights meant we didn't have to spend a penny to make the apartment feel warm and homely, over the festive season.

Jacqueline even provided a plentiful amount of towelling and bed linen and visited the apartment , via mutual arrangement, during our stay to change the the linen, towels etc., during our stay.

Perhaps one of the most outstanding features of this beautiful apartment, is its proximity to the City Centre and its underground parking. We could stroll to the city, like it was taking a trip to the local shops, and have everything, on our doorstep. Friends and family could meet us close by (as the neighbouring car park had ample space, at certain times of day and wasn't overly expensive).

We will most definitely seek out Jacqueline again, on our next return to Manchester and can genuinely say we had a wonderful time, thanks to renting this fabulous apartment and, more importantly wonderful lady owner.

Thank you Jacqueline.
