"Cosy and well-equipped cottage, great for a small family"
My husband, my 3 year old and myself all enjoyed staying here. The owner has made this cosy lodge like a home from home - well the home I would like to have in the future! She has thought of so many things that make it a practical and fun place to stay with small children. Oscar the holiday buddy made it extra special for my daughter's experience, as did the many toys that she could play with. We felt we were house-sitting rather than staying in an impersonal empty holiday cottage. The location is quiet but there are many things to do in the countryside around or in the nearby town of Malton. We enjoyed the local deli food left in the freezer for guests to cook. There were Christmas decorations as it was late December and this was very welcoming. I can't think of anything I would change.

"Fabulous Family Cottage"
We stayed here with my baby. The cottage is extremely family friendly with everything I could think of needing for a holiday with a baby or child - from children's cooking gear to baby wipes. The cottage has a very warm feel, everything has been thought through to make the stay very comfortable for everyone with lots of attention to detail (like a spare sewing kit, puncture repair kit, meals in the freezer etc). The inside decor is beautiful. I would strongly recommend this cottage and would love to visit again.

"A quiet cottage with great attention to detail."
We have stayed in Easthorpe Lodge twice and each time it has been beautifully prepared and equipped.Though it is only two bedrooms it is spacious with plenty of room in the kitchen diner. There is a good sitting room and two bedrooms with very comfortable beds. There is a well looked after garden and the whole property sits on the minor road [which is very quiet] to Castle Howard. It gives a good feeling of welcome and being cared about.

"Comfortable cottage in a great location"
Contact the owner direct and was very accommodating. The property is well looked after, clean and loads of information of things to do and see locally. Nice touches were a bottle of Cava in the fridge, milk, homemade jam, tea, coffee. I would recommend a car to view the sights as the nearest town is 3 miles away. This was a very relaxing stay.
