Set within the beautiful Cheshire countryside Top Farm sits nestled down a short track off a minor country lane yet only two miles from the pretty small market town of Malpas. This is the ideal retreat for those for looking for the peace of the countryside. This is a new let.

During the last half of the twentieth century Top Farm ceased to be a working farm, although the current owners keep rare breed sheep, pigs, hens, and turkeys. The farm house, recently refurbished to the highest of standards and finish, can sleep six adults with the addition of a travel cot and small single bed. There is ample off road private parking.

The views from each room of the farm house are outstanding. The spacious, double lawned secure garden, incorporating paved seating area and BBQ, offers views over rolling Cheshire farmland with tantalizing glimpses of the hills that mark the start/end of the sandstone ridge.

A clearly signed picket gate in the garden leads to a delightful picnic area. Sit under the shade of the trees, watch the fish jump in the well-stocked pond and the black sheep graze whilst piglets laze. Everyone is welcome to help feed the animals at 6:30 p.m. each evening.

"An idyllic rural retreat"

We stayed with friends along with our 3 year old. The house has been lovingly restored with super modern facilities, plus lots of points of historic interest such as an exposed wattle and daub panel and fireplaces. Gorgeous rural views from all sides. Great facilities for children, our son adored feeding the pigs, sheep, rare breed hens & turkeys and exploring the toy boxes. We enjoyed the selection of canvases and photographs of the local surroundings and walking maps available too. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. Looking forward to a return visit to this gem!

"Beautiful tranquil location"

We visited Top Farm for a weekend break. The house and grounds are beautiful. From living in the city, we could not believe how quiet the location is. There is no road noise and no light pollution. We have never seen such dark sky and bright stars! Simon and Liz were exceptionally helpful and we loved seeing all the rare beed animals they keep. Will definitely be returning.
