The Andalucia region

Archidona is a very nice place located 50 km far from Málaga, Costa del Sol (Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella)

The property is an amazing, luxury and typical Andalusian Cortijo, with 200 years old of history inside its walls. Belongs to a huge olive trees ownership area of more than 135 hectares, where you can enjoy both peace and countryside landscape with long walks among the olive trees and together with rabbits, foxes and very nice species of birds as partridges, owls, etc.

On the other hand, you can either choose to drive less than one hour to get to wonderful cities like Granada, Córdoba or a bit further (2 hours), Seville.

In the house you will find 4 double bedrooms, decorated with antique furniture as it was in the very beginnings of its first owners, 2 bathroom in suite and two more off.

You have a 100 years old fireplace in the living room and very nice and huge wooden table, very difficult to see nowadays anywhere.

The house has got two kitchen, one upstair for the winter and the second one downstair for the summer. Outside you can also enjoy having a swim in the wonderful salted water pool with nice and different lights to turn on at nights.

Archidona town is famous along Spain because of its sights, public celebretions at Easter week, the "Ochavada" square where once a year a bull fight take place and the rest of the year you can visit nice restaurants, Town Hall, Tourism Office..and also you can visit the famous church of "Virgen de Gracia", catholic church built on an old muslim mosque, on the top of a hill over the town.

You must try local gastronomy, begining with the breakfast - try the famous piece of bread "mollete de Archidona", our amazing extra virgin olive oil and for lunch, do not hesitate to try "porra archidonesa" a very old recipe made with olive oil, bread and vegetable that will impress you.

Nearby the town, 20 km far from Archidona, you can visit the town of Antequera, one of the most important place within Malaga province where you can visit the famous "Dolmen" or rather play golf and go shopping.
