"Great apartment, great location, shame about the noise"
The apartment has an excellent layout with lots of privacy. It accommodated four adults and two children with no problems at all.
All three bedrooms are large and have comfortable double beds. The kitchen and bathrooms show some signs of age, but everything works fine. Most appliances and other necessities are available, however we were disappointed by the lack of a vacuum cleaner and a dvd player.
Service by the rental agency was excellent, with Nuria and her husband Pepe readily available to answer questions by e-mail, phone or in person. For instance, they organised a secure parking space for my parents' car without any hassle. Very pleasant and helpful.
The Malagueta district is the perfect location in Malaga: a stone's throw from both the beach and the recently revitalised Muelleuno waterfront development. Various shops and restaurants are just around the corner and the city centre is only 15 minutes walk away.
However, its location on the busiest street in Malagueta is also the main drawback to the apartment. Although we were aware of this busy street when we booked the apartment (as a video was thoughtfully provided by the rental agency), the noise levels were higher than we expected, on the balcony and especially in the two bedrooms directly facing the street. Light sleepers should come prepared.
