The Andalucia region
The province of Malaga is located in the south of the Mediterranean coast, between the provinces of Granada and Cadiz, and bordering the provinces of Cordoba and Seville in the north. The capital city is Málaga.
Maritime Malaga on the coast where winter never comes; and with a mountain vocation inland, where nature is displayed in all its splendour. White villages with their attractive architecture, wrapped in romantic legend, bring points of light into secluded valleys where life goes by peacefully. And from the peaks of the mountains you can watch the horizon until it becomes lost in the immense blue of the sea.
The province of Malaga has over 160 kilometres of coastline. A total of 14 districts are located directly on the Mediterranean Sea. You can find secluded enclaves set in unspoilt nature, as well as more established tourist resorts. The beaches in both the eastern and the western part of the province are so attractive they have made the Costa del Sol one of the top international destinations.
Also a must is the landscape inland, with more than 15 officially protected areas classified as nature reserves, natural spaces or natural landmarks. Places that may be either in the depths of the Mediterranean or on the highest peaks. Magical forests and rivers where you can still find foxes, golden eagles and Spanish ibex.
It would be great to spend your holidays in the summer sun lying in the pool house, or in the warm sand of the beach. Do you want to forget about work and the winter cold for a few days, having lunch on the quiet terrace of your house a dish of paella with a glass of Spanish wine?
As well as being a cultural centre, Malaga is also a great place to eat out in the sunshine. The Malaguenos loves their food and the bars and restaurants here are where the real social life takes place. Tapas, smalls portions of many different dishes is an Andalusian tradition and a wonderfully inexpensive way to try a variety of local food.
Being in Malaga and not eat a good “espeto de sardinas” (grilled sardines) into the beach, a "pescaito frito" (a typical selection of just caught small fried fish of Malaga) with a salad of peppers "asaos" and a could beer is a shame. These chips are usually composed of boqueroncitos, baby squid, marinated dogfish, pijotas (tiny whiting), pink, red mullet, bacalaillas,…
In the centre try a tapas and a glass of Malaga wine at Malaga's oldest tapas bar called " Antigua Casa de la Guardia ". Others tapas bar that we can you recommender are “El Pimpi”, “La Garrafa”, and many more that we can recommend in the city center. When it's siesta time in Malaga is the perfect moment for a long relaxing lunch.
For families there are theme parks, including water parks, go-karting, safari parks and many beautiful public gardens

"Great for for all the family especially young children"
We chose the property for its facilities - swimming pool, tennis court, play park for the children. Great for unwinding for big and small in a spectacular setting- a mango and avocado farm on the hills a stone throw away from a popular area of Malaga beach front with its typical sea front restaurants. Property is in the countryside despite being so close to Malaga so very peaceful and gated all around-great for children's safety. Best of both worlds: away from it all and 10 min from Malaga city centre!
