D-5, is an apartment ideal for 2 to 4 persons, with 2 double bedrooms, ( one in the living room separated with a courtain) living room-kitchen diner area, and bathroom en suitte. Independent terrace (Solarium). It is oriented to the East with views to the sea, equipped with TV and all you need for cooking (crockery and cutlery etc), fridge, microwave, toaster and hob.

The villa where the studios / apartments are located has been built in Andalusian style. Located in Cerrado de Calderon, one of the best residential areas of Malaga city, at the east of Malaga city with excellent views to the mountains and the sea. It is a quiet area surrounded by pine trees. There are parking places just outside, which is very complicated and expensive in downtown Malaga. 3.5 km from the city historic center. Only 300 m. away there is an area with supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks, pharmacy and shops. 900 m. away is the beach, Los Baños del Carmen, and 1,300 m. away is the seafront at PEDREGALEJO, area of restaurants and bars where you can sit down on a terrace to enjoy the famous Malaga fried fish and other Mediterranean dishes such as paella, with great views to the bay of Malaga city. Central heating, wifi internet line 24 hours a day. From September to June can be rented for long term.

"Cheap and easy access to centre of Malaga"

"Great location for exploring Andalucia and Malaga"

The apartment is clean, spacious and comfortable. The patio is great for relaxing and eating on with views across the hills and to the sea. Free wi-fi is really handy and the area is quiet, friendly and relatively wealthy. Make sure you explore the local area where the vibe is relaxed and you get to see life in a spanish suburb. Juan is a decent host who will leave you alone unless of course you need him and he is willing to help recommend local eateries etc. Central Malaga can be walked in 40 minutes or get a bus that costs about 1.30 Euros and takes about 20 minutes. The beach and sea front is 15 minutes down the hill and has plenty of restaurants to choose from. If you want to escape from Brits on the Costa then you can do it here no problem. "Lovely comfortable apartment"

This is our second visit to the apartment and once again we had a great time. The apartment was clean and had all the utensils you would require for a self catering holiday.
The bed was lovely and comfortable, we both slept really well. We loved the terrace, especially in the morning and we were lucky had sunshine every day.
Juan once again was the perfect host booking our trip was so easy with him, he also arranged a taxi back to the airport. Juan is friendly and unobtrusive, it was nice knowing he was available if we required some advice etc.
One suggestion I would make Juan is a welcome pack would be nice with tea, milk and coffee as when visitors arrive the majority just want a drink.
We will definitely be going back, love the apartment and love the area. Two great restaurants a short walk down the hill. The restaurant next to the supermarket does the best steak we have ever had. Berrie restaurant does some amazing fish dishes a bit pricey but we think worth it.
Malaga it self is a wonderful place and some great places to visit, and for the ladies the shopping is brilliant.

We will be back to visit soon

"A once very nice apartment but now feels tired and neglected."

Service:
The owner, Juan, was friendly and chatty. But the service was not always satisfactory. We stayed for four weeks in January. We had to ask every week for clean towels. We were not offered clean bed linen. When - in the first week - the apartment got very cold in the evenings after 6 pm it took another week before Juan finally turned the central thermostat up so that we were warm. Before that he kept saying that it would be too hot in his own apartment if he did that.

Property:
Good size living space/kitchen. Small but sheltered, private terrace with sun until about 3 pm in January. Apartment was in a villa with a very nice, Andalucian entrance. It felt very secure because the front gate was always locked. Free wi-fi was great.
However, the place was very dusty. It looked tired and slightly run down (blankets, curtains, cushions). The shower curtain was mildewed and smelly. The cutlery was dirty and the floor was dirty (the cloth we used to clean it was black afterwards).

Location and amenities:
If you do not mind walking up a hill to the apartment (and we did not), then the location is perfect. Supermarket and some nice coffee shops nearby. 10 minutes further is the sea, beach and promenade. You can walk along the prom to the city, or - walking in the opposite direction - along all the lovely fish restaurants and terraces. There is a very good bus service to the city.

"Lovely holiday apartment"

We found the whole process from booking to arriving at the apartment so easy, thanks to Juan the owner of the property. He was very helpful through out the process and our actual stay.
The apartment was ideal for the two of us, we had everything we needed. The only item I missed was my hairdryer! On arrival we were met by a very friendly Juan and shown around the spotlessly clean interior and he explained how things worked. The apartment is very eco friendly and has given us a few ideas to do in our own home. You won't be able to cook a sunday roast as the cooking facilities are basic, a two ring hob and microwave,but hey, who wants to on holiday, ideal for breakfast and snacks though.
The area is typically Spanish (very little English spoken) but everyone was really friendly and helpful, which is just as well as we don't speak Spanish very well.
There is a lovely restaurant down the hill that serves tapas and main meals, it's just past the supermarket and I highly recommend the entrecote....one of the best steaks I have ever eaten but all the food we had there was great and the staff are very friendly.
We ventured into Malaga on the bus a few times, great place for sight seeing and shopping. A visit to the fish, meat and veg market is a must the displays are fantastic, it is shut on Monday. Some nice restaurants in Malaga but get away from the touristy bit and eat where the spaniards eat, good food at good prices.
Would I go again, yes, definately in fact we are planning to in March.
Juan can arrange a hire car for you either from the airport or from outside the villa if you require one. We had a taxi to take us to the villa as we found that easier. Happy Holidays.
