Studio D, is ideal for 1 or 2 persons. Oriented to the east . You can sit down in the sunny terrace to have breakfast, lunch and dinner while you are watching TV. It has a very good acceptance for its easy access to the terrace.
The villa where the studios / apartments are located has been built in Andalusian style. Located in Cerrado de Calderon, one of the best residential areas of Malaga city, at the east of Malaga city with excellent views to the mountains and the sea. It is a quiet area surrounded by pine trees. There are parking places just outside, which is very complicated and expensive in downtown Malaga. 3.5 km from the city historic center. Only 300 m. away there is an area with supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks, pharmacy and shops. 900 m. away is the beach, Los Baños del Carmen, and 1,300 m. away is the seafront at PEDREGALEJO, area of restaurants and bars where you can sit down on a terrace to enjoy the famous Malaga fried fish and other Mediterranean dishes such as paella, with great views to the bay of Malaga city. Individual heating, wifi internet line 24 hours a day. From September to June can be rented for long term.

"Peaceful, convenient and cozy"
Beautiful Andalusian Style Architecture Studios and Apartments, located in East Malaga in a Residential Area very near to Malaga City. A very nice and cozy place to rest and visit Malaga. The studio was very clean and organized, Internet worked very well and individual heating was fine. The studio D was small and perfectly equipped to serve our needs. It has a beautiful terrace with mountain and sea views. The neighborhood couldn´t have been better. It had a small commercial center with supermarkets, restaurants and shops nearby. Some meters apart was PEDREGALEJO an area of very nice restaurants and bars by the sea, which were very interesting. We had a nice walk every day to Malaga city admiring the “ Paseo Maritimo” and surroundings.. Busses available crossing the street. Taxis nearby. Very secure area. Juan and Paqui were very friendy and helpful and made us feel welcome and special guests right from the start.We highly recommend this place ! We had a lovely time, and we will return soon.

this was my first trip to malaga and andulucia and i hope it will not be the last. a very good experience all round. malaga city was a very pleasant surprise especially the area around the port and malgueta beach close to the d studio where i stayed. malaga is also a very good centre for connections to other andulucian cities. i visited granada, seville, ronda and marbella. all very rewarding.
D studio was an excellent base for myself, situated just a little out of town in a beautiful suburb with views of the mountains and sea. there was a bus stop just beside with buses running every 30 mins to city centre for 1.20 euro or a taxi rank 5 mins walk away or a very energetic walk down to the sea and a beautiful stroll along a prom to the harbour.
The studio was compact but exactly as described and just what i required for a 12 night stay. The owner, Juan, was very engaging and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this rental and hope to return in the naer future.

"Friendly and good stay"
A very nice and cosy place. Juan very accommodating and friendly. the only thing we had a little problem with was that washing machine is advertised but works on a first come first serve basis.
I would recommend this place to other people.

"Hidden gem in residential district."

"Small but cosy"
The room was clean and full of amenities like TV and fridge and cooker (aircon is extra) but you wont be spending much time in your room in Spain anyway!
There's a supermarket and bus stop into town close by and 20 minutes walk from the beach and Malaga Diving school which was handy for us.
The owner is friendly and full of useful knowledge about the area and the balcony offers a lovely view of the mountains.
The only downside is the noise of dogs barking and motorbikes going up and down the street at night. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper!

"Little, but cosy!!!"
We had a very nice time and were very happy about our decision to take the Studio in this area. It is not in the centre but you get there very easy! You can take the bus or have a nice (long) walk to the centre. To the beach it takes around 10 min but I think there are nicer beaches when you walk another 10 min.
In the Studio you have all you need to survive ;-) We had everything even if it is a quiet small studio. But there is nothing more you need to spent a nice time in Malaga. The beautiful view is a thousand times more worth than the size of the apartment. The kitchen corner was a nice challenge. My boyfriend is a chef and he created really delicious food with the basic kitchen inventory. One day we had 3 pounds of mussels and the other day he cook a whole rabbit in redwine sauce. So I think the kitchen is proofed.
Juan, the owner and his wife are very kind and helpful. They were achievable at any time. Once I stepped into a sea urchin and his wife explained me how to get to the hospital. Luckily I didn't need it. Anotherday we wanted to rent a car. Juan advised us a car rental. The man brought the car and picked it up at our place.
There are only two things which were a little bit annoying but it is not the owners mistake. It is quiet loud in the morning hours because of the kids who are brought to the school near the apartment. The whole day you don't recognize that there is a school around. Only for a short time in the morning.
Because of hygienic reasons (which is commendable) the bed has a plastic cover under the sheet. So we had some difficulties with the sleep. But it is acceptable due to the well-known middays "siesta" in Spain.
To get the deposit back we just had to clean up the apartment. He let us the possibility to let it be cleaned for a little fee. But actually did it by ourselves.
Well, all in all it was a great time. We think about coming again next year. Andalusia is more then one journey worth.

"A welcoming and attractive stay in a very convenient and pleasant area"
Juan made us feel like welcome and special guests right from the start. The studio was small but perfectly equipped to serve our needs and the terrace, just as in the photo was sunny and a very pleasant place to eat at any time. Parking on the street was not a problem and a 5 minute stroll past lovely houses took one to a good supermarket , cafes and restaurants which were very popular with local people.
Miles of beach were again within walking distance and Malaga centre was easily reached by bus or car (5/10 minutes).
We drove to the Alhambra and Ronda on good roads but it was always good to get back 'home' in the balmy evening and relax on the terrace. Heavenly for we creatures from cold northern climes!
Juan could not have been more helpful or charming and we hope to return soon.

- The studio was very clean, all equipements as specified on the website were there and in very good condition.
- It was just 7-10 minutes away from the beach; 5 minutes from shops, pubs and banks.
- Studi D1 was a perfect choice for us (just for 2) who value the sun as this latter is really seldom where we live (England).
- The landlord was a very good communicator and friendly.
- The neighbouring was quite and all the time kept clean.

My friend and I stayed in one of Juan's studios in October 2011 while attending Spanish Language School at Alhambra Instituto (very good school) which is in Av. Juan Sebastian Elcano, Pedregalejo.
The studio is small but had everything we needed including a ceiling fan, which was good as the weather was quite hot. It also has a shared patio so you can sit outside. The studio is very well positioned up a hill so you get a nice breeze and is served by the 33 bus, which stops practically opposite the villa. The area is very nice.
We arrived late in the evening so couldn't catch the 33 bus. However we caught the airport bus line A into Malaga (to Alameda Principal) and the number 11 bus (from Alameda Principal which runs through Pedregalejo about every 10 minutes) and then a taxi up from Pedregalejo to the villa (5 Euros). It is very secure as there is a locked front gate to the property.
The lovely little centre of Cerrado de Calderon is just a 5 min walk away with bars restaurants and shops. We walked to the school every day. Pedreglejo has a lovely front with lots of nice restaurants.
It was easy to book as I paid the deposit by PAYPAL which was returned to me by PAYPAL at the end of my stay.
We had a lovely time and would recommend this to anyone.
