Pedro de Toledo
Apartment | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Located on the 10th floor (with lift), the accommodation offers a unique opportunity to enjoy a romantic city break in Malaga. Although it is situated in the heart of the city, the apartment is situated in a quiet location, with no street noise; yet it is close to all the attractions, restaurants and tapas bars, and just a few minutes walk from the beach.
The architect-designed apartment has been optimally spaced and comprises large room with sliding partition, which allows the accommodation to be divided into two room. During the day the apartment contains a large room with fully equipped kitchen, dining table, sofa bed, flat screen TV and bathroom with massage shower. During the evening the sliding partition separates the bedroom area from the rest of the apartment and has a fold-out double bed.
The accommodation is of extremely high quality and offers a brilliant location and superb views across Malaga. The apartment comes with our best recommendation.

The Costa del Sol region
The province of Malaga is home to the famous touristic area of the Costa del Sol; 160 kilometres of seaside resorts and beaches, the region boasts one of the best climates in Europe, with over 320 days of sunshine every year. The city of Malaga itself is fast becoming a holiday destination in itself, with tourists combining a beach and cultural holiday. Malaga city has its own beach, fabulous seafood and tapas restaurants, and lots of cultural attractions.
When visiting the province of Malaga and the Costa del Sol, we recommend that you stop off in Nerja, Gibraltar, Marbella, Ronda, Granada and the skiing resort of the Sierra Nevada, which is just one hours drive from the beaches of the Costa del Sol.
Malaga is located on the Costa del Sol in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia. The city has a rich cultural heritage, dating back to 800BC, over the centuries it has been occupied by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans and Moors. Since tourism came to the Malaga region, most foreign visitors have literally stepped off the plane at Malaga and headed directly for one of the seaside resorts along the Costa del Sol, but this is changing; in recent years Malaga has an undergone a rehabilitation program that has restored many of its cultural attractions and monuments to their former glory, firmly putting Malaga back on the tourist map.

"Noisy renovations in apartment next door!"
We were looking forward to a quiet week's stay in Malaga. Got woken the first morning at 8 am by workmen in the apartment through the wall which was undergoing total renovation (picture attached) and which we hadn't been pre-warned about. These renovations have obviously been ongoing for some considerable time. The owner states that he is "not responsible for extraneous noise". The banging and drilling went on intermittently every day, even to 8.30 one evening.
Also, be warned, the TV only has Spanish channels. The photos on the website implied that there was at least an English news channel - not so! The DVD supplied was broken (replaced), the second one also broke down (replaced), the third one worked! The batteries in all the remote controls were dead. The kettle (which we had to ask for despite it being on the inventory) blew all the fuses. The fridge had to be switched off overnight because of the noisy motor. The settee looks good but the cushions keep sliding forward which makes it very uncomfortable to sit on. It goes on - there was no plug in the bathroom sink which made shaving a bit of a problem. Also the toilet seat was loose.
On the good side, the apartment was clean, had a great location and wonderful views of the old town.
So, to sum up, if you are up and about by 8 am and out all day until late, just want to have a quick shower and go to bed, this is the apartment for you! Otherwise, look elsewhere.
