Overlooking the beautiful and quiet Lagada Ridge beach in the South-Eastern province of Crete, Bayview is a complex of 50 brand new contemporary designed apartments with a shared pool and amphitheatre seating area overlooking the stunning mountain and sea views of Makrigialos.
The garden apartment has all the amenities needed for a relaxing self-catering holiday. There is a well equipped newly fitted open plan kitchen with electric cooker, hob and extractor, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and plenty of utensils. There is also a breakfast bar with 2 bar stools.
Also included for your comfort; air-conditioning, terrace for alfresco dining, TV and selection of entertainment mod cons, hairdryer, iron, car parking and, to save space in your luggage, beach towels are also provided .

The Crete region
Crete is the southernmost and largest of the Greek islands and as such enjoys a hot and sunny summer climate followed by a mild and inviting winter. It boasts more than 300 days of sunshine every year and is possible to swim from the islands south shores as early as April and as late as November.
There is something for everyone in Crete, whether you enjoy a relaxing holiday of lounging on one of the many sandy beaches or secluded coves, taking in the views from a beach bar/tavern, or if you are the adventurous/active type then there are towering sandstone cliffs with deep valleys and blue lakes that make an ideal location for hang gliding, hiking, climbing, mountain biking and walking. Or for the explorers amongst you there's a rich history and culture to be discovered with archaeological sites, temples, palaces and monasteries all across the island.

Makrigialos area
Makrigialos, meaning long beach, is situated in the south east of the island and is still an unspoilt resort compared to those in the north of the island, making it more suitable for couples and families wanting a more peaceful holiday and gives a truer flavour of Cretan life.
There is a long shallow sandy blue flag beach that is ideal for smaller children, that leads to a pretty fishing harbour. Along the beach side are a good selection of bars, tavernas, gift shops, supermarkets and water sports facilities, providing you with everything that you could need for a relaxing holiday. Each Friday there is a street market near the harbour entrance.
Close by to Makrigialos are the villages of Agios Stefanos and Pefki, just two of the many beautiful mountain villages, steeped in history, with narrow winding streets, old and beautifully renovated stone houses smothered in Geraniums, Bougainvillea, and vines and dotted with rustic tavernas serving traditional Greek food.
With its excellent climate, beautiful landscape and extremely warm hospitality it is no wonder visitors come back year after year.

From April to November there are a number of Charter Airlines including Easyjet, Monarch, Jet2, Thomson and ThomasCook who all fly direct from the UK to Heraklion.

Wireless internet is available in reception if you have a wireless enabled device, the apartment also boasts a PC that is connected through the TV with use of a wireless keyboard/mouse to enable you to view your current holiday snaps or alternatively if you do not have an iPod this is equipped with an extensive iTunes music library for your use. Please note this PC is also connected to the internet to allow you to check your emails and surf the web! - alternatively if you have an ethernet enabled device you can connect directly to the internet from your apartment.
This garden apartment is totally unique on the Bayview development as we have arranged for a small change to the layout of the property which we believe seriously enhances the privacy and the living space in the apartment. The wardrobes have been moved to create a separated master bed ‘room’ area, without closing the room off entirely with a door which would reduce light to this area. The open/closed plan area has a number of major benefits including enhancing privacy in this area, providing a separation from the living and bed areas whilst still allowing the air conditioning to circulate throughout the whole area.
This area is in addition to the totally separate single bedroom, ensuring that separate private sleeping arrangements between the single bedroom and separate master double bed area are maintained.
The living area has a large footstool that opens out into a metal action single bed.
Further details outdoors: The covered terrace area allows its use in most weathers and has a table and 4 chairs for Alfresco dining.
