Home description

‘Okeanis’ is at the edge of the Village of Koutsouras close to the beach. The apartment has a balcony and air conditioning. The apartment consists of 2 main rooms: 1 bedroom with 2 single 2 meter beds plus a living/dining space and kitchenette combined. Kitchenette’s are equipped with refrigerator and counter top cooker. The apartment has a bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment can accommodate up to 4 people.
Linen is provided; sheets are changed once a week, towels twice a week. A child’s bed and chair is available by prior arrangement.

There is a swimming pool in the secluded flower-filled garden as well as a small Taverna for breakfast, snacks and drinks. In the Taverna there is also a small guest lounge with a library, games, music, television with all kinds of films on DVD and a computer with wireless internet.

The atmosphere in Okeanis is warm and welcoming.

The Crete region

The south eastern part of Crete is a fascinating area to explore.

You can visit one of the many archaeological sites or picturesque mountain villages; you can walk through dramatic gorges and enjoy the scent of a large variety of special local flowers, plants and herbs.

You can cycle in the mountains, take a boat trip to one of the small, beautiful islands near the coast or snorkel in the clear seas.

The sun shines more than 300 days a year and, of course, you can also relax on the beach or by our swimming pool and enjoy the sun and the gentle pace of Cretan life.


Makrigialos / Koutsouras area

The friendly seaside Village of Koutsouras lies on the south-east coast of Crete looking out to the Libyan Sea and has a Post Office, Pharmacy and several small Supermarkets for daily needs.

Next to Okeanis is Maria’s small supermarket with a wide range of groceries. Within a few minutes walk are four cozy tavernas where with local people you can enjoy authentic Cretan food.

In Koutsouras there is a bus stop close to Okeanis where resorts, on the way to Ierapetra and Sitia, are within easy reach.


How to get there

-Flights available from Heathrow, Gatwick, Bristol, Glasgow, Cardiff etc to Heraklion in Crete. Flights are also available to Sitia airport. From Sitia to Koutsouras there are regular buses and taxi's.

-Cheap flights can be obtained from: www.ba.com, www.dialaflight.com, www.olympic-airways.com and many charter airlines during the holiday season.

-Buses go direct regularly from Heraklion airport to Koutsouras. Transfer time 3.5 hours.

-Taxi from Heraklion to Koutsouras is available for 90 Euro's. Transfer time 1 hour 45 minutes.
