This property has prime location in the new Bayview development on Lagada Bay which provides superior self catering accommodation.
The apartment comprises a double bedroom with king size bed, a single bedroom and an Italian designed double sofa bed in the lounge area. There is a fully fitted open plan kitchen including electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer.
Eat al fresco on the spacious balcony overlooking the swimming pool with waterfall feature and landscaped gardens, and take in the spectacular views of the bay opposite and surrounding mountains.
Air conditioned with bed linen and towels included (there are also beach towels for your use), and supported by site management who can assist with all your needs from restaurants and tavernas to places of interest to visit, this is a high amenity setting for a relaxing holiday in tranquil surroundings.
There is plenty of car-parking and the property is only 300 metres from the unspoilt Lagada Beach and a short distance from the centre of Makrigialos with numerous tavernas, bars, cafes and a blue flag beach offering a wide range of water sports.

The Crete region
The most southerly island of Europe and the largest in Greece, Crete enjoys one of the best climates in Europe with more than 300 days of sunshine every year, and sea temperatures that allow swimming from its southern shores as early as April and as late as November.
The people are hospitable and friendly. The scenery is spectacular with rugged limestone mountains rising steeply, and azure seas off rocky coasts. Carved into this landscape are idyllic coves and beaches. And there is a rich history and culture to be discovered with archaeological sites spread across the island.
Makrigialos area
Situated in the south east of Crete, Makrigialos, (meaning long beach and awarded the blue flag), is an unspoilt resort with a particular attraction for those looking for an authentic flavour of Cretan life. The evenings come alive with numerous tavernas and bars serving delicious food from local produce with the fish dishes particularly recommended. Fridays see the village hosting a street market.
Daily boat trips to Lefki or Koufonisia run from the harbour. Makrigialos is well known for hosting the prestigious Casa Dei Mezzo music festival with musicians coming from all over the world. The nearby village of Agios Stefanos is home to the Sasteria public observatory with 4 telescopes at your disposal for you to observe the heavens.
Close by are the towns of Lerapetra and Sitia, both good for shopping, and the latter with a particularly lovely marina. The drive to Sitia through the mountains beautifully illustrates by remote monasteries, quaint churches, beehives on hillsides and lovely villages what is so attractive about this area.
Within 15 minutes drive of Makrigialos is the village of Pefki, one of the many beautiful mountain villages, steeped in history, with narrow winding streets, and beautifully stone houses covered in geraniums, bougainvillea, and vines and dotted with rustic tavernas serving traditional Greek food. Well worth a Sunday evening visit!
A wide range of water sports are available including scuba diving, fishing, sailing etc. There is also a Go-Kart centre within 20 minutes drive.

Fly direct to Heraklion Airport from most UK and European airports.
ThomasCook, Easyjet, Monarch, Jet2 and Thomson offer regular services. Tuifly are currently operating a direct service from Hamburg to Sitia.

50% deposit payable with booking. Balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. £75 security deposit payable with your final payment. Refundable immediately on your return after property has been inspected by our housekeeper.
Deposits are non-refundable.
Payments over and above the deposit are refundable as follows: More than 6 weeks before arrival 90%; 5 weeks - 75%; 3-4 weeks - 50%; 2 weeks - 25%; 1 weeks - Sorry no refund.
