In the shadow of palm trees on the sand beach (deck chairs, parasols,...) Veža family is expecting you in Pansion Franka, appareled in the finest stone from the island Brač. A fairy-tale house in which kind and hospitable host since the 1968 embrace and pamper their guests. With open hands and souls. Adapted house is the last in Brist (cul-de-sac) and also hidden from noise. Inside there are 10 apartments. In front of the house there is an observation platform with a view that is stretching all the way till Gradac, Pelješac and Hvar. Guests that are using either half board or dinner are being served weith delicious Dalmatian, Mediterranian meals by their kind hosts. To lick your fingers. Meals are being prepared on olive oil, whith has been rewarded several times and considered as one of the best in Dalmatia from an expert view. With that kind of food you can always go for a sip of home-made herb brandy and a glass of home-made red wine.

The Dalmatia region
Older part of Brist was located underneath the mountain Biokovo, but it was abandoned in 19th century, and a new one was built alongside the coast. The area was inhabited in prehistoric times, which is proved by the remains from the Bronze and Iron Iron Age.
The place is mentioned for the first time in 1571. In the old part is a decorated tombstone, ruins of baroque church of sv. Margarita and a birthplace of poet Fr. Andrija Kačić Miočić (1704-1760).
In the new part lies the church of sv. Margarita built in 1870. and a church of st. Ante Padovanski from 1807. Makarska is located below the mountain of Biokovo (1762 m), which protects it from the harsh continental climate and is responsible for its rich Mediterranean vegetation, mild winters, long, warm summers cooled by a refreshing breeze called maestral. Makarska has more than 2750 hours of sun each year and the air temperature above 20°C from July to September. During these same months, the crystal-clear sea also averages a temperature of above 20°C.

There are daily boat trips to the islands of Brač, Hvar, Korčula, and the Pelješac peninsula; and daily excursions by bus to Dubrovnik, Makarska, Split, Međugorje- Mostar, the Krka River cascades, and rafting on the Cetina River.

Arrival by plane: Airport Split or Dubrovnik. Distance 110 km from the Pension Frank. Transfer Split or Dubrovnik - Brist possible in our organization, or a rental car.
Arrival by car: motorway Zagreb - Ploče. Back by (Gradac) Brist 15 km.
