Villa 'Girasol' is situated in Calla Llonga an exclusive area of Private Villas built on the edge of Mahon Harbour.
It is traditionally furnished and well equipped, situated in an elevated position on the front line enjoying superb views across the Harbour.

It is just 15 min by car from the airport and 10 min to the town or port of Mahon.

Villa Girasol is a traditional Spanish Villa around 20 years old, it has traditional and functional furnishings and facilities. It is situated in an exceptional position on the front line overlooking Mahon harbour, at night the Island oposite is floodlight. The pool, covered terrace, outside dining and BBQ area, are at the same level as the Villa enjoying the same views.

The pool and Patio area are in the sun all day right until sunset, although shade can be taken under the covered terrace and BBQ area. The Boat is available for private charter at an extra charge, for details please contact the owner.

The Menorca region

Menorca is a beautifull island and a registered biosphere, it has numerous beaches from small calas to long sandy beaches, plenty of walks and cycle routes. There are lots of water sports available including diving, wind surfing, sailing, powerboating etc.

Mahon, the islands capital, and main port, is only a 10 minutes drive, taxi ride or water taxi ride from Cala Llonga. It is an interesting town with the old market reciently restored, a fish market and various churches, the main giving frequent organ recitals during the season, there is also a theatre, and plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants.

On Tuesday and Saturdays a market selling local produce, fashions, shoes etc.etc. is held in the main square.

Mahon Fiesta is held in early September, but other fiestas are held in other towns throughout the summer and are well worth a visit to see the Jalio (prancing horses and riders)

The Mahon / Cala Llonga - Menorca area

Apart from all the interesting things to do in Mahon, more locally there is a beautifull beach at Cala Mesqueda, with a couple of bars and restaurants.

The Fort of La Mola (both Spanish, French, and British fortifications) is worth a visit and guided tour.

Boat trips around the harbour, and Boat Charters are also available. With many beautifull boats moored in the local marina.

There is a local supermarket selling all the basic essentials.
