Home description

2 Houses split into 8 units. One house faces the beach ( maison Turquoise ) is divided into 4 studios, each having its private bathroom, kitchen and balcony. It offers a unique stunning view over the lagoon.

The other house ( maison Bon Air ) stands behind the other one, and is divided into 3 small apartments and 1 studio. The apartments can accommodate 1 couple + 2 children, or 3 adults, and also offers private bathroom/wc, kitchen and balcony.
Only 20 meters from the white sandy beach, and wonderful sea, it is the ideal location for young families, with safe swimming area for children.

Mahebourg is the most important village of Grand Port Savanne District. It's also a quiet a peaceful area where you will experience the authentic mauritius. People's courtesy and kindness might touch your heart and you'll never forget the moments you'll spend there.

Mahebourg / Blue Bay area

Mahebourg organizes a big market on Mondays. Merchants from the island come for this big weekly fair. Left overs from main textile factories, spices, households, and fancy jeweleries, all you can imagine might be found in this market.

At the other end of the village, stands the naval museum, a small colonial house where the first french governor of Mauritius, Mahe de la Bourdonnais ( who gave his name to the village Mahebourg ), lived.

Only 20 minutes walk from the village, after crossing the oldest bridge still in use of the island, you can reach a private resort : Les Delices.
There, you might visit the little biscuit factory, an authentic and old fashion style biscuit making factory. From the kassava root, you might try the savoury freshly baked biscuits.
The 95 old lady, Therese, still has an eye over the cooking and might tell you all the history of this family owned business.
Don't hesitate to pay her a visit.

Many restaurants are found in the village as well as in the residential area of Blue Bay. You might be tempted to experience mauritian food which is a wonderful witness of the mauritian cultural mixture.

Plaisance Internationnal Airport is just 15 minutes drive from Blue Bay and Mahebourg village.

Being split into units, guests have this good opportunity to rent only the number of rooms which they need. Big families and groups can enjoy being close to each other while having their own space for relaxing moments.

Maid service is provided for free from monday to saturday. We also change linen and towels twice a week.

Even though you have all facilities inside your unit for self cater, you can choose to experience our cook's talents from time to time.... or everyday if it suits you !!! You might appreciate discovering our local meals, with a variety of meats, in our tropical and sunny secret sauces.

TV, dvd and video player are available only at the reception. We can study special requests for those willing to have these amenities in their unit.

Air conditionning is available only upon booking and an extra fee may be added to the rental.
All rooms are fitted with fans and anti mosquito plug.

Washing machine and clothes dryer is also available at the reception. You will be charged per load for washing and ironing.

Telephone line will only allow you to local calls for free. For international calls, adequate rate will apply.
Internet access only available during working hours and from the reception.

A safe is available in each unit to secure valuables ( money, jewelery, passport and air tickets, small cameras)

Our house is NOT SUITABLE for people in wheel chair.

Comfortable balcony, which allows you to enjoy breakfasts and meals in front of the lagoon by good weather.

BBQ can only be used in the front garden, and there are 2 BBQ which is shared between guests on a first come first serve basis.
No specific parking space. Cars can be parked on the road next to the units.

Deposit of 50% required to secure booking.

Refundable breakages and misuse of interior facilities deposit equivalent to 100 Euros required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks following your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
