About the home

The Bocaccio apartment is just a minute walk from the popular Plaza de Santa Ana, and a 5 minute walk from Puerta del Sol and La Latina.

You have Flamenco shows in the worldwide known Casa Patas where you can also eat; The Café Central is another venue for the best Jazz Concerts.

Not far from the apartment, approx 10 min walk, the guest will find museums like The Reina Sofía, El Prado or the more Modern Caixa Forum and La Casa Encendida.

Although there is great night life not far from the Bocaccio, the actual apartment is located on a quiet, calm street, perfect for a great sleep before heading out sightseeing and/or shopping!!

This is a cozy and considerably spacious apartment. The double bedrooms are perfectly decorated and have lots of wardrobe space; one of the bedrooms has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom, the other bedroom comes with two single beds.

The kitchen is spacious enough and it has a small breakfast bar for the guests convenience.

A fun feature is the blackboard/wall guests can use to scribble notes, etc.

The dinning room has an enormous Indonesian wood table, and there are wooden beams throughout the apartment.

The decor is great, the main colors are white and wine with a 60´s style, the walls are a great feature of the apartment with lots of black and white photographs everywhere.

This is a great apartment!

The Madrid region

The capital of Spain can be found in the heart of the peninsula and right in the centre of the Castillian plain.

The Madrid City / La Latina area

The neighborhood of La Latina is known as the Austrian or the Habsburg Madrid, it is the oldest part of town, the medieval and Renaissance Madrid. Its name comes from the Austrian Habsburg dynasty, which reigned in Spain until 1700 and to which belongs to the important kings Philip II and Carlos I.

The zone incorporates the small streets around the Calle Mayor, the Plaza de la Villa, where you find the City Council, the plaza de la Paja and the Plaza Mayor.

This neighborhood has a charm that makes it a favorite of both tourists and the local people of Madrid. It is one of the neighborhoods that provides the richest sense of authenticity and the real identity of Madrid.

It is also surrounded, without the need for long journeys, with a long list of museums, cinemas, theaters and emblematic monuments where you can experience the culture of Madrid, both rich and varied. A mere two minutes walk from the emblematic sites of Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, Royal Palace, the Gran Via and the Retiro Park.

The metro station in La Latina is at the heart of this neighborhood, making it the most efficient and easy way of getting to the area particularly due to its high traffic and busy pedestrian streets.

If you are taking a taxi from the airport to the apartment, the general cost is between 25 – 35 euros and it will take around 30 minutes in normal traffic. Just ask the driver to take you to the address above. There are also buses and metro running from the airport in to Plaça de Colon.
