Home description

2 Bryniau Bychain was originally built in the 19th Century. It has been tastefully converted to offer accommodation for groups of up to 4 people. It has been decorated to a high-standard throughout and has a side-garden in which you can enjoy a glass of wine on a summer’s evening.

Although there is off-road parking for up to 2 cars, the local sops and pub are only a mile away. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome as part of the group.

Note: This property is on the main estuary road towards Aberdovey and as such some road noise may be heard from within the property.

The Powys / Brecon Beacons / Powys region

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. Snowdonia National Park, situated in North Wales, boasts breathtaking mountain scenery, crystal clear lakes and cascading waterfalls. Climb Snowdon, which at 1085m is Wales’ highest mountain, or travel to the summit in style on the charming Mountain Railway. Alternatively, why not sample the beautiful green valley of Llangollen by steam train or from a leisurely horse-drawn canal boat.

In July, the annual Llangollen Eisteddfod transforms the town into a unique centre of international music and dance, attracting musicians and singers from across the globe.You could also explore the beautiful coastline, safe sandy beaches and watersports of the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as Colwyn Bay, historic Conwy, Victorian Llandudno or the Isle of Anglesey on the north coast.

To the south, there’s the lovely Brecon Beacons National Park, a haven of rugged moorland, forests and mountains that’s just perfect for nature lovers and walkers. Finally, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is renowned for its wildlife, stunning coastal scenery, superb beaches and as the home of Britain’s smallest city, the City of St David’s.


Machynlleth / Cwrt area

It nestles between the historic town of Machynlleth and the stunning coastal village of Aberdovey. Nearby is the southern tip of the Snowdonia National Park. Aberdovey is famous for its temperate weather, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course. With its pastel coloured cottages, Aberdovey has served as the inspiration for many artists in the past and continues to do so today. In addition, it is endowed with some of the finest beaches in Britain, with four miles of golden sand-dunes that roll north to Tywyn.

The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of water sport enthusiasts. The fish are also popular in the local restaurants, many of which make seafood their speciality. The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy mountain ranges are within easy reach and are complemented by the charm of the Dovey and Dysynni valleys nearby.

OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'Low', 'Mid', 'High', 'Peak', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday. NOTE: This property does NOT accept Last Minute Breaks.
