Very clean, comfortable and cosy. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. Excellent shower. Between an A road and a railway line but both are pretty quiet and sound insulation was good. Compared to home in London it was extremely peaceful. Nice garden to sit out in, weather permitting, occasionally shared with neighbouring caretakers' large dog but she is very placid - no problem for us. Internally there were a couple of minor downsides - the lighting in the living room needs to be improved and the dining table is pretty small (no room for bigger!) but these aren't deal breakers. All in all, excellent value for money and I would be happy to return. With regard to the poor booking process, getting through on the phone was tricky (the phone number listed was wrong) so I enquired about availability via the tripadvisor website form. This was answered with a no but with a very careful re-reading of their email a few days later I realised the company that handle bookings had answered about a villa in Spain! However, I'm glad I persisted. |
