Ty Mawddwy is an enchanting Grade II listed beamed whitewashed cottage where you can enjoy glorious views from the patio. The cottage is surrounded by the stunning, peaceful mountain scenery of Snowdonia - the perfect setting for a traditional countryside holiday in Wales.
The ground floor consists of a very cosy open-plan living room with wood burner, sky TV (Family package) and i-pod docking station. Oak fitted kitchen with dining area and French doors to the patio and garden. Two bedrooms - a twin and a double and a large family bathroom.
Upstairs there is another double bedroom with en-suite shower facilities and second sitting area with sky TV and DVD.

The Machynlleth / Dinas Mawddwy area
Ty Mawddwy self catering cottage is situated in the Dyfi Valley, about two miles from the village of Dinas Mawddwy in southern Snowdonia. Near the highest pass in Wales which leads to Vyrnwy and Bala lakes with their wide range of watersports. The interesting market towns of Dolgellau and Machynlleth are about 20 minutes by car, while the coast (30 mins) offers a wide choice of lovely beaches such as Barmouth and Aberdyfi.
The cottage is part of a sheep and beef organic farm which has been managed with conservation in mind, and guests are welcome to explore and enjoy the wildlife. Guests are also welcome to take advantage of the three quarters of a mile of fishing rights on the River Dyfi.
The valley offers rural peace and tranquillity and is an ideal base for walkers of all capabilities, with the challenging peaks of Aran Fawddwy and Cader Idris on the door step.
In the village of Dinas Mawddwy is the Meirion Mill craft shop and cafe, a restaurant and a selection of good, traditional pubs. Within reach are many local popular attractions including the Centre for Alternative Technology, Narrow-gauge railways, RSPB reserves, Leisure Centres, Pony trekking, Quad biking and Coed-y-Brenin mountain biking centre.

Wales is easily reached from the London airports whether you travel by train, car or bus. If you rent a car, you can get from London to South Wales in only two to three hours. By train it’s even quicker, just two hours from London to Cardiff. If you prefer to travel by bus, National Express coach services travel direct to both South Wales and North Wales.
