"Perfect holiday for extended family gathering"
We stayed for 3 weeks and had a wonderful time. In this property you can have a great time whatever the weather not only does it have a Heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi and billiards room, but if you want seclusion to read there are quiet spots available too. There are also several sound systems and an I-pod docking station and free WiFi acess so all generations were catered for. Deborah & Andy were there when needed to sort any hiccups.
All in all a great place or base to stay

"Brilliant Week, ignore the negative reviews!"
Me and my family must've stayed in the house the week after the previous reviews, we arrived on the 1st of June and left the weekend after, and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we enjoyed every moment of it!
Clean inside, comfortable beds, a large living room and a stylish kitchen area (which we spent most of our time in I have to say). Not to mention the large games room and indoor swimming pool with its own jacuzzi (we spent the rest of our time in here). There wasn't any leakage which we could see, in fact the only 'problem' we had was that one of the tv's in the bedrooms wouldn't turn on but we didn't mind because there was plenty to do in the rest of the house!
The only thing I agree with to do with the other reviews is that the name of the property "four winds farm" could be misleading, as it is situated on a large plot of land at the edge of a housing estate. However its a huge house, with a large patio and garden area (including a pond and a water feature!) and the fact that its next to an airport didn't both me at all, you only heard light aircraft running during the day and for a few moments when they passed over the house.
Overall I loved the property, and many nights spent in the open plan kitchen or sitting in the jacuzzi were thoroughly enjoyed and I'd love to return at some point, this is a brilliant location for a group of friends or family group like mine to spend some time together.
We are so glad that you had a very enjoyable weeks holiday and look forward to your return stay, hopefully very soon. Also, Thank you for your honest review of our home. For the readers and possible future guests considering booking a stay. I hope this helps your decision and that you now have a clearer picture on the quality of the property we are offering. This is our 1st Season holiday letting this home & welcome all your feedback. This helps us to provide & expand on giving our guests a comfortable home whilst on holiday.
To explain the house name : The property once was a farm, owning all the land around for many a mile in all directions. The name originates from those days :Four Winds Farm. Today, the property is sat on approx 1/3 acre plot. We do not & have not promoted the property as a farm type property. The house name was only given out on the Booking Contract when guests wished to book. We have now removed the house name from the booking contract to remove any misunderstandings.
Kind regards, Adrian Gregory

"Let down on arrival"
After seeing the pictures of the advertised property we were really looking forward to celebrating our friend's birthday here. Expecting to arrive at a luxury spa style farm house. We were surpr… More
I am very sorry that you had a disappointing 2 night weekend stay at our house. However, I find that your comments are rather over-stated and that some are totally unnecessary. The property offers quality accommodation providing an indoor heated swimming pool, hot tub & sauna - just to mention a few of the highlights.
With regards the points you have made I take this opportunity to clarify the facts:
1) Bird faeces on the swiming pool cover - This infact is residual salts from the pool. The pool conservatory can get very warm & harmless white salts crytals form.
2) Pool chandeliers have not been subject to a leaking roof. Again, the pool environment can become very humid. This has caused staining to the light fittings. We are considering replacing these light fittings for a more water resitant type.
3) Leaking roof to swimming pool bathroom. We had suffered high winds the evening before your arrival. Unbeknown to us a single roof tile was missing. On the Saturday night (your 2nd&last nights stay)I was notified of the problem. The roof tile was replaced immediately the following day.
4) Electrics- all the electrics have been passed by a qualified electician. Entertainment Area - some light fittings have been removed ie. laser & strobe. The cabling to these has been disconnected at the fuse board & insulated at the light fitment end. The cable only remains present for possible future reconnection & are completely safe. The cabling outside & above the sauna cubicle is a TV aerial only.
I could further explain any of the other issues in response. However, to assist the reader and any possible future potential guests in making up their own mind with regards this review I can offer the following:
We offer our home as a quality property with the facilities as advertised. We do not & never have stated that this property is on 'Mayfair' or that it is a farmhouse of any kind.
The location of the property is clear for all to see on the google earth facility of our advertisement.
The facilities we offer at the house would allow anybody a comfortable affordable alternative to a normal holiday let style house that does not provide many or any of the facilities we have to offer.
I hope all that read this review & response can now evaluate and draw their own conclusions.
I look forward to receiving many a happy reviews. I hope that this review has not distracted you booking your holiday with us ... kind regards.. Adrian Gregory

"Luxury Spa Style Home- Complete Misrepresentation!"
Expecting a luxury style farm house ( Four Winds Farm) from description and clever use of photographs
However on arrival it is found to be in a built up industrial area with Blackpool Airport running parallel with back yard.
House is next door to factory unit, with its four conservatories, some of which are the bedrooms, attached to the factory. Leaking roofs within pool area and to adjacent bathroom with water coming through the light fittings leaving only one useable toilet/bathroom for 10 guests. (When rang owner was told not to worry, its only 12 volts!)Bird faeces on pool cover which is indoors!
Small oven and kitchen which is not suitable for 10 guests let alone 16 for which the property is said to accomodate.
Hot water only available in the morning. No wi-fi available. No batteries in the remote controls.
Electric cables wrapped in plastic tape.
We were also charged £10 per person for leaving an hour later.
On the positive side, excellent, comfortable beds although we had to pay extra to get them made up, £10 per person!
The above review is from the same group of guests as the review directly before & above this review. To save time for the reader of this review/response. My response to this review is the same as my response to the review above. I would be most pleased if you could read my response of that review.
I do not wish to enter a defensive approach to my response. With the opportunity of explaination most or all of this guests issues could have been easily addressed. However, I contacted the 'prime' guest shortly after her departure day to ask if the weekend went fine. Yes! all went fine & they had had a laugh. The leak in the bathroom the only hicup!
The comments in the above 2 reviews have vey misleading information and many of these comments are completely unnecessary. Example: This review states that we charged for a late departure time....however, we did not charge for late departure !
