"Is that the sound of silence??"
Oh yes...if you stay here it most certainly will be...no road noise, no neighbours, just the sound of the birds and the distant ring of goat bells
We recently stayed at Villa Cedrus to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and could not have picked a better place for a special celebration. The villa really has the wow factor with fantastic views across the bay to the Akamas Peninsula in one direction and over the mountains and Paphos Forest in the other direction.
The owners Maria and David will do everything they can to make sure that the whole process of booking and staying here is a pleasure and any issues or questions you have will be quickly answered.
Reside in nature describes the villa perfectly and the peace and tranquility here are priceless. The local Cypriots were incredibly friendly and helpful - don't be surprised to find them pulling up behind your car if you stop - they really do only want to check you are OK or help if you have a problem.
The villa offers every home comfort you could wish for - with only 2 of us staying we were spoilt for choice with seating both outside and inside - the patio near the pool has sun loungers, large dining table and sofa and chairs and you will be equally well provided for inside. Even cooking is a pleasure with the views you experience from the kitchen with sea or mountian views at every turn!
The bed was extremely comfortable and rates right up there alongside the comfort of a 5* hotel.
The wildlife we saw at the villa was great - birds of prey in the trees right by the patio and pool, lizards and geckos to keep us amused with their comings and goings, along with lots of butterflies and migrating birds.
The nearby towns of Polis and Latchi are lovely areas with large supermarkets in Polis (we would recommend Papantoniou found in the town on the Argaka road) and Latchi has some fantastic seafood restaurants - the Lobster pasta at the Seacrest restaurant is definitely not to be missed!
Take a drive up over the mountains through the Paphos Forest - although the road has lots of twists and turns it is very quiet and the views will more than make up for your effort. Talking of effort do make use of the outside oven at the villa - we cooked Kleftiko in it twice while we were there, one time in one of the worst thunderstorms we have ever seen which was interesting!!! Still at least we still had dinner even though there was a powercut
If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful retreat you really couldn't find a better place...enjoy!
Villa Cedrus is exceptional and was built with love for Cyprus and the countryside. I am so pleased you found a specail place to enjoy for your anniversary and hope you will have many lovely memories to look back on

"The most breathtaking views ever."
I have just spent a week in this absolutely stunning villa. This villa is so different from any that I have stayed in before. It is situated on plateau on a mountainside. The 360 degree views are absolutely spectacular and the fact that it is not overlooked by any other villa was a real bonus for me. All you can hear are the sounds of nature and the wind in the trees. The views down to the sea are breath taking. The interior is decorated and fitted out to an exceptionally high standard. We did suffer a minor hiccup on our 5th day where we were without water. The villa owner employs a local handyman (Gary) who could not do enough to help us and soon had our water back on again. I could only stay for one week and wish I could have stayed much longer. The locals are so inviting and friendly and this just added to the overall excellent experience I had on this holiday. Would I stay again? ABSOLUTELY! One of the most memorable holidays ever. Thank you Maria.
Dear Guests I am absolutely thrilled to read our first review for Villa Cedrus. We have been selling property in Cyprus for 12 years and when we saw this plot we were so taken with it we had Villa Cedrus built. It was not our intention to rent it out but for now until we retire we hope many of our guests will enjoy it as much as you have. Thank you again and hope to see you again very soon Kind Regards Maria
