The Rhône-Alpes region

The region offers a multitude of incredible landscapes to be discovered just two hours from Lyon including the mountain chains and lakes of the Isère and Savoie, the hills and vineyards of the Pierres Dorées region in the Beaujolais area, fascinating towns synonymous with art and history such as Pérouges and Vienne, not forgetting the Mediterranean atmosphere to the south with the Drôme and its lavender fields and dry stone villages. There really is something to suit every taste!

The region is interesting whatever the time of year. In the summer you can bathe in its amazing lakes or attend a huge choice of festivals such as Jazz à Vienne or the Nuits de Fourvière. In the autumn you can discover Lyon's biennial festivals and explore the Beaujolais vineyards. In the winter you can go skiing in some of France's finest resorts or admire the magnificent Festival of Lights on December 8, in Lyon. And in the springtime, you can discover the Vercors plateau or stroll through old Annecy.

Lyon

Lyon is a city full of enchantment, it offers something for all. From the breathtaking panoramic views to the museums, theaters and places of dance. It is truly a city full of life, dotted with cobble stoned narrow streets and exquisite places to wine and dine it is sure to impress and have your taste buds sizzling.

Lyon would be associated with charm, relaxation, and enjoyment. The charm would have to come from its 2000 year old historic past, the relaxation would come from the Art De Vivre and the enjoyment would have to come from everyday life and the overall vibe of the city.

The city is perfectly situated between Paris (2 hours by train) and the Provence (1h30 by train), 200 km from the Alps and Geneva
