Hello! We don't mind a delayed review when it's so lovely! Thank you for writing it and for sharing memories of your time in the New Forest! Great that you mentioned the Pub, as it could put people off, but is more of a restaurant and doesn't attract a young/noisy crowd, I will make a note of that on the property listing! Thanks again is was good to hear from you.

"The standard of the whole place was old second hand & unacceptable"

The photos looked really good but when you open the door it all changes, never told that you are connected to a pub which has the kitchen fan going all day makes a lot of noise beside the smell, so yo… More

We were very saddened to get a negative review but grateful that you took the time to write it. It is unfortunate that you did not mention anything while you were here as we may have been able to rectify some of it.
I will try to answer to each of your points in turn.
We do mention that we are next door to a pub which most of our guests find to be very useful, no one has mentioned the extractor fan but we will investigate to ensure there is not a fault.
I am glad you liked the kitchen but very upset that the oven was found to be dirty-if this was the case it is unacceptable and I apologise, I only wish that you had mentioned it.
The oven is a Modern Meile oven, which is less than 2 years old. The antique hand painted dresser is old, very old and most people love it!
I am sorry that you found the sitting room to be dark, there are 24 light bulbs on 3 circuits, which seems to be at least adequate for most people, it is ridiculous for you to say that you had to light the fire to be able to see! The sofas may not have been to your taste, however we have always had good feedback about them being very comfy, I will check that nothing was missed, but the cushions are washed regularly.
The washing machine was not ancient and was very efficient but I am sorry that it did break down when you were using it, as sometimes things do, and was replaced within days.
The fridge is a standard U.K. under counter fridge which, following your comment, we have now added a 2nd drinks fridge to give people more space, so thank you for that.
It was very unhelpful of you to say that the bathroom was, “fowl” (foul) but give no reason for this so, as no one else can see anything wrong with it, I will ignore that one.
Overall a most unpleasant, unhelpful review which has understandably and possibly intentionally, upset us.
I would like however to reassure any future guests that this is the only negative review we have ever had and we feel confident that you will enjoy a stay here but would ask you to accept that some of the furniture is indeed second hand (antique) and for this I make no apology as it was chosen to compliment the very old building that it was intended for. It may also be worth mentioning that the author of the review was very, very cross at having to leave by 10am as they had never been asked to vacate by that time before? (Didn't leave until 12 noon) I appreciate that it is a bit early, and we try to be flexible, but it is a fairly standard time suggested by many holiday lets to allow sufficient time for cleaning etc.
Thank you from Little Home Farm.
