"Ideal B+B for us"
We had a lovely couple of days at Defoe House as our first proper holiday with our 11 month old baby. It's tucked away in the gardens of a pretty house which is also tucked away in a quiet village, and feels more like a self-catering than a B+B. Owner Vanessa serves a lovely breakfast every morning, and at other times the fridge & microwave did us fine. Cot and highchair were generously provided for baby. We didn't notice the cake until we were about to leave! Would certainly return if we ever go back to the New Forest, which is quite likely as it's a lovely area.

"A memorable stay, cosy cottage, lovely location"
My partner and I have just returned from a 2 night stay with our daughter who turned 2 during our stay. Vanessa and her family made all of us feel very welcome and we would like to extend a warm thank you again for making our little girl such a beautiful cake and for the card. The cottage was private, clean and comfortable and the breakfast and coffee each morning were a treat.
Thank you for your review,it was lovely meeting you all last weekend too!.

"Cosy New Forest hide away with relaxed and friendly hosts and a top breakfast."
Norleywood is a charming New Forest village which is off the beaten track but convenient for Beaulieu, Lymington and the New Forest itself. Super walks from the door. Very relaxed and friendly hosts. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and well laid out in a separate barn next to the swimming pool. Very good breakfast indeed.

"it's different, well located for touring or chilling out, definitely worth a stay ..."
This perfectly self contained accommodation offers a fusion of modern IT conveniences and appliances eg. Wi-fi, flat screen TV/radio, lots of power points for re-charging, microwave (of course), a very individual and likeable style of furnishing, with its bright stripy, blue and yellow seaside-coloured decor. Defoe House annexe is comfortable, cosy and "cool", appealing to the traditional holiday maker and to the young, must be in touch with the office type ....absolute privacy, yet homely; expect a pristine, slightly nautical bathroom, a comfortable bed with crisp linen.......generous space allowing heaps of room for the breakfast table, laptop and i-pad. It's different, well located for touring or chilling out, definitely worth a stay .....
Thank you for your positive review, I hope that the rest of your holiday went well.

"What A Lovely Find!"
What a lovely B&B! It is tucked away in a small hamlet called Norleywod in the New Forest - very un-spoilt. Vanessa made us feel very welcome - we even found home made biscuits in the room which was welcome after our long drive - Norfolk! The accommodation was large, light and airy and even had a small kitchenette. The breakfast was amazing - the eggs were from Vanessa's childrens chickens and the bread I think home made - well it tasted like it ........... Add to this the beauty of the surrounding area, the ponies and the donkeys - a pub within a 15 minute walk - it was perfect and we will certainly be staying again.
