About this location

The Hampshire region

Hampshire is a county on the Southern coast of England in the United Kingdom. Tourist attractions include many beautiful and popular seaside resorts, the world renowned motor museum of Beaulieu and National Parks in both the New Forest and the South downs. Hampshire has a long Maritime history and two of England's largest Ports of Portsmouth and Southampton lie on its coast. The county boasts a rich cultural heritage, varies coastlines, vibrant cities, bustling market towns and unspoiled countryside, making it an ideal destination on the "English Riviera".

The weather in the area tends to be better and generally warmer than in other parts of the country.

The New Forest is a region of astounding natural beauty, boasting ancient woodlands, large open heathlands, picturesque water-ways and miles of cycle paths and walks. There are plenty of welcoming, friendly pubs, and restaurants in the area, offering hearty traditional fayre, and locally brewed ales. All around the Forest you will come across the ponies, donkeys and cattle that graze freely on the great expanse of heather and grass land. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to spot some of the shyer inhabitants, the deer, who try their best not to be seen against the back ground of rolling heathland and deciduous forest.

"Home from home"

We really enjoyed our stay at Little Holiies. The rooms were all a good size, the kitchen well equipped and a beautiful sunny garden. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Only negative was the number … More

"Perfect base for a New Forest break"

We took our 6 grandchildren with us to stay at Little Hollies for the bank holiday weekend. It is a beautiful cottage, spacious, very clean and homely with a lovely garden. Sarah has thought of everything you could possibly need and it was very nice to find bread, milk and a bottle of wine waiting for us. We would definitely stay again and will recommend Little Hollies to family and friends.

"Lovely clean accommodation, excellent location and nice and quiet"

The cottage was lovely and clean when we arrived and very spacious. It was a excellent location to visit the New Forest and a perfect base. The host was lovely keeping in contact and even left us some crabbing nets so the children could go crabbing! Internet connection was a real bonus especially for the kids to play their games. Only negative thing i could say if i had to, was the shower, the spray is quite fine so have to move a lot to get wet and it could be set too a little hotter. All in all great, and a brilliant getaway! Would definitely use again. Thank you
