Higher Manor Lodge at Higher Manor Farm, Combpyne, East Devon, is tucked way in the Axe Valley close to Lyme Regis, Beer, Axmouth, Seaton and Axminster. If you want a unique log cabin to rent, this is the place.
The new Finnish log cabin is situated in it's own secluded grounds adjacent to our small farm just on the outskirts of the village. We aim at providing a peaceful holiday atmosphere for those wanting to enjoy our lovely countryside, either walking or just relaxing at home enjoying the views over our fields, horses, sheep and lambs! Numerous tame farm animals, ducks, hens etc all ramble in the fields and entertain the children!
We are happy to get any shopping in for you, just let us know! Free range eggs on the house, hens permitting of course!!!

Higher Manor Lodge is in an area of outstanding natural beauty the property is near to access to a private beach (via a steep cliff path), the famous landslip, the Undercliffe and the World Heritage Coastline between Lyme Regis (Jurassic Coast), Seaton and Beer.
There are plenty of delightful eating places locally, either informal pubs or more special restaurants.

Nearby Lyme Regis has a theatre, cinema, is famous for fossil hunting, has sandy beaches and the area is ideal for walkers, country and bird lovers.
Sporting amenities include sea fishing, lakes for trout and course fishing, sailing, golf, bowls and games for children. Riding stables are available locally and we can even arrange livery for your own horse on our own farm. Boat storage is also available on our own farm nearby.
How to get there
From London area (approx 3 hours) M25 ,A303 past Stonehenge Left onto the A356 to Crewkerne (B3156) Continue on the B3156 sign posted Lyme Regis.
Coming from the North or Wales M5 South until Junction 25 Take A358 direction Ilminster/Chard. After Chard go to Axminster A358 to Musbury. At T Junction with A3052 turn left uphill towards Lyme Regis

Further details indoors: Large living room with "cathedral" ceiling, pine floors, rugs, cast iron log burner (electric!), TV (with Sky Freeview), DVD & Video player, Radio CD player, comfortable 3-piece suite. The dining area has a pine dining table and chairs. High chair and a modern Z bed are also provided. The kitchen is off the living area, complete with full size electric cooker, hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, fridge etc. Two double bedrooms (small but beautifully appointed) with pine furniture and duvets. Linen by arrangement. The second double bedroom has a 5 foot bed that can be split into 2 singles. Each room has at least one dimplex heater.
