The Tuscany region
Tuscany is a land of full of charm and beauty. Lunigiana / Filetto area
Unlike the other medieval villages of the region Filetto is based on a square Roman castrum with entry to the Byzantine village only possible through its two enormous fortified doors. Inside the walls are two fascinating squares and the village's ancient fortifications, its elegant loggia, the Marquis' Palace and the Fatebenefratelly Convent make it a remarkable, and highly prized, holiday destination.
The village has a bar and restaurants and the facilities of Villafranca are just 3 minutes away by car or a short stroll. Within easy walking distance of the apartments is a beautiful open-air Olympic-sized swimming pool set in lovely wooded surroundings. Casa Sopra is just 15 minutes drive from the A15 Autostrada making it easy to reach and an ideal base for touring Tuscany, Liguria and Emilia-Romagna.
In the second two weeks of August this ancient village becomes a fascinating spectacle as the village erupts in a sea of music, fire and festival. This is the famous Filetto Medieval Festa, a cornucopia of minstrels, acrobats, jugglers, musicians and sorcerers. Merchants and skilled artisans in medieval costume peddle their wares and there is are many parades, shows and displays.
The village of Filetto has a bar and restaurants and the facilities of Villafranca are just 3 minutes away by car or a short stroll. Within easy walking distance of the apartments is a beautiful open-air Olympic-sized swimming pool set in lovely wooded surroundings. The ‘Villasport’ complex has a high diving board, a toddler pool, whirlpool, pizzeria/snackbar and barbeque facilities. Adjacent to the pool are tennis courts. Work on making the facilities fully accessible to the disabled will be completed shortly.
How to get there
Lunigiana is well served by low cost airlines which fly in to 3 airports that are all about an hour away - Pisa, Parma and Genoa.
Some idea of airlines flying from most UK airports are easyjet.com, ryanair.com, thomasfly.com. A little further afield you can fly into Milan's two international airports.

Conditions
1. Lets normally run Saturday to Saturday. However if you have different requirements please provide us with your needs and we will endeavour to oblige.
2. The arrival times for this property are from 4.00pm onwards and the property must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. Please note that we cannot vary these times due to the need to thoroughly clean the property between arrivals.
3. 25% deposit at the time of booking and the balance no later than 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. We can accept payments in either Euros or GBP. Payment can be made by cheque, direct deposit, bank draft, wire transfer or money order. A refundable security deposit of £200 is payable with the balance of the rental fee.
4. A Fuel Surcharge of 7.5% will be added from Oct - April incl. to cover heating & other power usage.
5. All holiday bookings are subject to standard Terms & Conditions.
